Better pick up one on the PP. Likely to make a few trips to the box in the 2nd. Refs will be looking for makeup calls.

5 min major on the guy that grabbed Livanivage’s face mask. Hopefully UND review guy catches it.

No penalty after review
Principal point of contact is clearly the head. Usually college hockey is on the soft end when it comes to majors. Shocked this wasn’t one.

The coaching staff is going to receive a lot of flak and they should. How do you not prepare, study, motivate, adjust, etc. against a team 4 effin times. 1 sure, 2 whatever, 3/4 is inexcusable.

We’re going to drop so far.
They deserve to but they won’t. Started out #3 prior to the game. Guessing 4 or 5 now.

He can technically come back next season.
Pretty much any goalie in the land can do what he’s doing. No reason to bring him back when Hobie is here and younger.

Need a goalie. When is the last time we had a goalie with >.900 save pct? Persson flopping all over the place. Rebounds galore.

This announcer is jack edwards. Flew in from Boston. Has to be.

Was there goalie interference or did Persson lose an edge or flop? Didn’t look right and I didn’t see a good replay.
-
Refs really struggling tonight.

Almost feel bad for Miami. UND didn’t deserve any points the way they played. Blake just walks off like no big deal.

Can we get a save please? Shades of the last couple years. There was always gonna be a letdown after last weekend but this is awful.

The first half of the year the powerplay was pretty bad. What has changed? On the radio, it sounds like the powerplay is alot better.
Setting up their scoring threats in the right spots and doing a much better job of screening the goalie. Gaber on the right side, McLaughlin/berg on the left, Blake floating around. Lots of options.

UND was the better team all game. Great defensive game with the forwards doing a great job of playing both ends. Impressive to hold Denver to 2 on 2 goals Persson would want back. Great game Dylan James.

That one is on the goaltender. Not sure why he committed so hard to the short side.
-
Lay down and take the pass away like every other defenseman in the country would have done. Geez. Pyke didn’t take either the shot or pass away.

Keep pissing games away and they’ll find themselves out of the hunt in the NCHC and on the bubble for the big show. We are a ways from panic mode but gotta find a way to start winning the close ones.

Wasn’t a 5 min major and was goalie interference. Refs 0-2 on the big calls tonight.

Persson hasn’t been good his last 3-4 starts. Will likely be sub .900 after tonight on the season after a hot start. Him being good early on was a relief after the last couple of years of sub-par goaltending (that’s being generous). Would be nice for him to find it again.

Not gonna lose many games playing like that. Top guys out being the difference.

I can say that Mayotte did a fantastic job preparing his players for this weekend and the players executed. Frankly, as a CC fan as well, it isn’t exactly the style of hockey I want to see them continuing to play game in and game out.
My goodness, watching them this weekend, it reminded me of the 1990’s era New Jersey Devils. But I give CC credit, they really didn’t give up many grade A chances to UND and they crushed UND in faceoffs.
I’m getting chirped a lot on my phone already, tonight. I think one of my CC pals is hoping they hang a banner in Robson for this sweep!
It’s the style they had to play to win. Clog things up, get good goaltending, and hope to win in close low scoring games. They do have some guys that can make a difference and theirs showed up. Can’t say the same for the other team.

Perron has been quiet lately, but still would like to see if he could get things going 3 on 3.
I was hoping for more at this point in the season. Looked good early but has faded. He doesn’t seem to have chemistry with anyone and is playing timid. I’d like to see him go to the net like he did early on. Now he just dances along the perimeter and doesn’t create anything.
-
I’d rather see Strinden with Perron, and Omac. He’s been better than Johannes of late and deserves more ice time.

I have never seen a team lose like tonight. CC's last two shots on goal were both goals. And they didn't have a single shot on goal in the third period. Wow, that was ugly.
I never really felt like they were a threat to win that game until they did. Never should have happened. Figure it out tomorrow or it’ll be a very long break.

BC continuing to roll is fine with me. A young team that won’t know how to deal with adversity when it slaps them upside the head come tourney time.
