  1. There was a horse collar tackle, then everyone kinda stopped playing, then the Goofs scored the game winner.
  2. Unless I'm mistaken, she wasn't part of the broadcast last season either. Not sure why.
  3. Ah, that would make sense. At first I thought maybe he had Cuban cigars stuffed down his breezers or something.
  4. On the CHN app, the Michigan-Duluth box score says that Owen Power got a minor penalty for "illegal equipment." What does that mean?
  5. Was at the game. I'd say it was close to a sell out but not quite.
  6. Schmaltz has some elite hands and seems to have good instincts. Fun to watch.
  7. Oof...giving up too many grade A chances.
  8. Seems like we're losing every faceoff.
  9. It would be a good time to draw a penalty.
  10. As far as challenging nonconference schedules go, Bemidji's schedule (Duluth, UND, Arizona St., St. Cloud) is maybe surpassed only by Mankato's aggressive nonconference schedule (UMass, St. Cloud, Duluth, Arizona St, plus its Ice Breaker games against Providence and either Michigan or Duluth). Hats off to the Beavers and Mavs for some ballsy scheduling.
  11. Based on the thread title, I figured it was going to be an impartial analysis of their hockey team.
  12. I applaud the effort to keep resuscitating UAH's hockey program, but no program can survive continuous instability.
  13. "...life essence..." Now I'm going to have to rewatch Dr. Strangelove.
  14. I understand but my friend is a little slower. So you're saying that Mike, Marc, and Monte are brothers?
  15. Losing seniors Kobe Roth (13g) and Koby Bender (7g) as well would mean a loss of 79% (66 of 84 goals) of UMD goal scoring. Their highest returning goal scorers would be a quartet of skaters with 3 each.
  16. Thanks for sharing this article.
  17. CCHA currently has seven teams; Lucia would like to have eight (or an even number). If an NCHC team were to leave for the CCHA, I bet it would be Miami. "..[I]f we can get that eighth team, it's extremely important," Lucia said.
  18. Here's a College Hockey News article on Don Lucia becoming the commissioner of the newly reformed CCHA. Lucia Jumps Back In, Named New CCHA Commissioner : College Hockey News
