  1. Exactly. So pathetic.
  2. This year's squad doesn't have much margin for error, but they've given themselves a chance by making it to the tourney. Success will require total team effort. Driscoll needs to be a wall. Relentless forecheck from all four lines. Crisp breakouts by the d-men. C'mon boys, we are with you. LFG!!
  3. LU's first hire: social media proofreader. There is no "2022-22" hockey season. Good grief.
  4. I won't get to watch the game tonight because of preexisting condition obligation. Just hoping no one else gets hurt. A win would be the cherry on top.
  5. AHA: AIC / RIT / Air Force / Mercyhurst ECAC: Quinnipiac / Clarkson / Harvard / Colgate HEA: Northeastern / UMass / UM-Lowell / Connecticut CCHA: Minnesota State / Bemidji State B1G: Minnesota / Michigan NCHC: Denver / UND / WMU / UMD
  6. Another kid on that roster is John Whipple from Excelsior. I know exactly zero about him except that he's got an outstanding name. Getting players with great names (a la Ben Blood) is vastly underrated in recruiting. "And Whipple whips the pucks into the net for a game-winning gooaaaaalll!"
  7. And if anyone is labeling Sanderson injury-prone at this early stage in his career, I agree @stoneySIOUX that such a narrative would be premature. I'm just being greedy hoping for another season with Jake. His end-to-end goal against Bemidji is one of those all-time-great highlights. I'd like a few more of those highlights before he leaves.
  8. How hard can it be? 99% of IT tasks involve the following steps: 1. Turn it off. 2. Then turn it back on. 3. If issue isn't resolved, repeat steps 1 and 2.
  9. That's quite an honor for Sam. I hope he has a great camp! Thanks for the head's up, @SpudsSioux.
  10. Ditto. No one with any sense is questioning Jake's skills, ability, heart, character, etc. And yes, it's still 99.99% that he leaves for Ottawa after the season. But I'm willing to entertain the possibility that Jake might benefit greatly from one more year of physical development at the college level.
  11. In all seriousness, I would probably vote for Brink. Another reason: playing in the toughest conference, he doesn't get to pad his numbers against cupcake competition. Now, it would hurt to vote for a Pioneer, so there's that.
  12. Another awful aspect of the B1G model for hockey is simply game times. Saturday-Sunday afternoon series? No thanks. And that's done to please the TV people.
  13. Also, to my knowledge, Bally still isn't on Hulu, which is the only reasonable way some folks could get Bally. #theyareallgreedybastards
  14. Somewhat related: does anyone know what percentage of NCHC.tv subscribers are UND fans? My uneducated hunch is that NCHC.tv is only viable because of the UND fanbase. I realize I wear Kelly-green glasses, but it wouldn't surprise me if more than half of all NCHC.tv subscribers are Sioux fans.
  15. I wasn't supposed to say anything, but @Goon paid me to write that. (@Goon, I'm waiting for my six-pack of Grain Belt.)
  16. I haven't seen some of the candidates play. That being said, I'd vote for Brink: national leader in scoring, plays hard all over the ice, appears to be a classy kid off the ice, helps his team win.
  17. I wish that the Hobey was only for skaters (non-goalies). There is an award for collegiate goalie of the year, no?
  18. I wish I could. Never been to a Hoggsbreath get-together. Hopefully next year!
  19. Once got food poisoning right before boarding a plane for a 12-hour flight. Spent nearly the entire flight in the bathroom. Pretty lousy experience.
  20. Plus it would be fun to get the chance to beat Denver in Loveland!
  21. He still holds the record for points in a season, a record that will not be broken.
  22. The guy in charge of the replay needs to give up the meth.
  23. I do wish, for curiosity sake, that actual turnstile counts were made public.
  24. That would be great*. At the very least, let's hope Michigan and Western meet in the NCAAs--as long as it's not at the expense of UND. (*As an added punishment for Michigan's douchebaggery, they should have to play in Lawson Arena.)
  25. FWIW, we are CHN's Team of the Week. I guess Merrimack was busy.
