It's above them, or Pres. Kennedy would of had WH on the short list a couple months ago. An accountant looking at the numbers would say cut WH. A fund raiser from the alumni office would say keep WH. A new Pres. after being briefed on The Raplh Engelstad Arena and the non-profit corporation running it, said "We're Keeping WH"

We had Mens tennis when I was in school, early 70's.

Hypothetical here: If our A Dept receives $5M a year in donations? If our Academic side of U get $50M in donations a year? If U gets $20M a year towards buildings? If our A Dept. looses $3M a year? WHAT DO WE DO???? WE PLAY BALL!!!!!!

Ever really wonder why Pres. Kennedy said WH was off the table with MH, basketball,. and football a couple months ago? It sure wan't about ticket sales at the WH games.

Everyone knows that WH doesn't take in enough money at the door to cover their own expenses.

Most donations that go to the U don't go to the athletic department, they go to the academic side. But UND having sports is a helpful motivator in acquiring donations, helps keep people connected to the U. This never shows up in "Show me the Money" in the A Dept.

WH is not about the money it is making, as long as MH is balancing the fulcrum. The facility is here. Has potential for the big show. Equality in women's sports. Ralph wanted it that way. Other big contributors want it.

Objectively, MH & WH play in The Ralph and The Ralph makes money. It was bought and paid for before the first puck was dropped, go figure.

Gothmog you are wrong again, the original post does not... Bison Dan and I were posting and his post above stated UND always following Bison. See the word always. I was making the point that we were a U 1st and Ag School followed with a school later, showing that they followed 1st and many times there after. That's the original post.

This one really makes me laugh. Here's the best response to that comment, and it's an earth shaker!!!!!!! Just last week a conservation was about going to FBS, with a Bye-son fan crying that he wished the state of ND only had one large U like MN and Wis do. Another, Bye-Son fan answered him with; if there would of been only one U, we would of all been SIOUX.

Ya, tough on the fans, couple of losses there in the Dome last year, more to come! Getn to like the SD's in Fargo (2015 & 16)!

The Bye-Son arrogant fans (mostly on BV & AGS) are so full of hate towards Big Brother, and on top of that think they belong in FBS. How can they live with themselves? And mostly, that large wall that they had built on north side of campus, that blocked the FB team from going N, and that the MVFC knocked down last week, is just got them sicker than a dog. Poor little brother. There are so many people in ND and MN that just can't wait!!

Ya, and I don't think anyone is close to figuring that out. We have to win at home the rest of the way.

UND is 7-3-1 record wise not playing in The Ralph.

This slow start turned into a late fast finish, what gives?

As the Alerus was being built, in a picture in the Herald of The Nickel, it showed it with the beams of the Alerius in the background. That showed location and time, clever idea. It was brought to Roger Thomas before the game on that Sat. at Memorial Field. That process of recovering it and bring to game day happened many times by both schools and never was it defaced or hurt, that should tell your something. If we can politically bring it back, then we do. Maybe we ask premission from Standing Rock and Spirit Lake for both trophies to be brought back. The hell with the NCAA, it an't worth talking to them, they are more arrogant than any fan in the Dakotas.

Hiding these trophys doesn't do any good. Playing for them adds a lot of conversation and excitement with the fans, and then there's that chance of getting it back before the next game. The press loves it.

That would be huge to surprise the crowd in 2019 before the game with "The Nickel" at mid field. That crowd would have to love it!!!!!
