    Parise's Rank

I put Parise right behind the great Wes Dorey and Jeff Yurecko, but a notch above Tom Philion
  3. Is there anything official yet....or just Tim and Swig Show? (tsn.ca, newjersey devils.com, espn.com, cbc.ca show nothing and they keep pretty current...)
  4. thank you PCM - I knew if I read enough posts that I would see a rational one! Take the money while you can!!!!
  5. Duluth area to see some games, maybe all Duluth is now official to see UMD games (maybe more), Grand Forks is a go...who is left?
  6. No, there has always been a real solid following - I don't think there are any more bandwagon dinks in MN than with any other successful team. UND has had a fair share of riders jump on the wagon. Duluth picked up some riders this year as well. It is only to be expected. But I really dont think the "majority" of current gopher fans have jumped on the wagon after the past 2 years. The punks (not fans) wrecking shop in Dinkytown though - they tend to come and go like truck-stop whores at the Big Sioux.
  7. In PCM's arguement that Brandt deserved an award... Yet, when Briggs goes in and gets 2 wins against very good teams (UMD and UND) he is not deserving of an award. I guess if the 2 wins this weekend came against Tech and MSU, he would be deserving.
  8. all he'll be lifting are some more pull tabs
  9. and Brandt didn't play nearly as much WCHA game time as Berkhoel. You have think that plays a role in it.
  10. Brandt 21 games 2.10 0 shutouts .909 played in 50.7% (51.8% conf. game time) of UND games Berkoel 35 games 2.60 5 shutouts .914 played 81.7% (87.1 conf. game time) of Den games PCM, you are always throwing stats on the board - what is it about these stats that make the pick asinine?
  11. and not because he leads the nation in goals?...damn east bias
  12. Your smugness & condescending attitude typifies what I despise about Gopher fans. You'd receive better responses by preaching to the choir at POI.
  13. Gee PCM, does this means UND could take some initiative and get something done with WDAZ? :O
  14. Thank you - that was my original question...whether Fox had exclusive rights, the league did, or if a school could step in here.
  15. Yes - why not? For charging the highest ticket price around - they owe it to the fans that pay to attend the home games to try to get the road games on air.
  16. fact - gophers have a deal fact - BU has a deal fact - Vermont has a deal fact - Notre Dame has a deal fact - UND has a pay-per-view internet scheme
  17. Look PCM, it is simple. Obviously the Gophers, BU, and Norte Dame for example get TV deals done. One needs not be a negotiating expert to see that. So, if the WCHA doesn't have a league deal, UND should make a move of their own - aside from this pay-per-view business. Your reply shows that you are more willing to look for a conspiracy than at facts.
  18. Because schools can initiate negotiations for TV contracts PCM. Not everyone is out to get the Sioux, UND should get a little more proactive in gaining more coverage and recognition for its' great teams rather than sitting back and reacting to whatever coverage is availiable in other locations. ps - and i don't mean charging money for a poor quality internet video stream
  19. Does Fox, and Fox only, have the exclusive rights to the final 5? If not, blame Grand Forks media for not covering the top team in the country. If Fox does have exclusive rights, shame on them.
  20. There is a lot of crying about FoxSports - why no bitterness about Sweeney and his channel 23 crew not airing road games (including the most important road games of the year?) I live in Grand Forks and am amazed that the Sioux are THE show in town (and in the nation for the past 8 years) but can't cut a TV deal locally that willcover road games.
  21. At the level of hockey played by the top teams in the WCHA, an extra 4-5 hours of rest is irrelevant. Quit crying and realize that college hockey isn't the money-maker as basketball is - any chance of making extra money is important. With the Gophers playing at night - it is guaranteed to sell more tickets than any other tilt. I would hope the league would be smart enough to do the same if the tournament took place in Colorado or Grand Forks. There is not a better financial move for the league than to have it in the X (which by the way has the ice size advantage going to UND, Duluth, and Alaska as the Gophers and CC play on the big rinks.)
  22. They need to develop the accuracy of Sweeney I guess
  23. on the weekend you tool!
  24. The list I posted was for last year...didn't include this year's freshmen
  25. Moorhead has about 1200 enrolled (with about 3/4 of them soon to be enrolled in a jail cell near you )
