  1. here is a start...it lists players playing last year, this year's list is not yet updated. MN D1 player by high school Not sure what Grand Forks has put up
  2. I know there are a handful, but does anyone know how many current Junior players (USHL et al) would still be in high school in GF and Fargo? It is an unfortunate situation in that ND needs talent in the HS league to make players want to stay and get better, but at the same time - these kids need competition and as of now Juniors are the only way to get it.
  3. Stop with the silly sign slogans you tool!
  4. Oh, I'm sure someone will find a way!
  5. Brian Leetch...try a better argument. Stevens has never won a Norris Trophy - Blake and Lidstrom are consistently at the top of Defence scoring.
  6. It seems to be a popular arguement that UND has some great defencemen because they have allowed the least goals. Think about it, UND has the most talented forwards in the league. They control the puck better than most and have some intense backchecking forwards (Parise is great at this). The other team can't score or get good chances without the puck. So when you look at one stat (goals against) - it is shortsighted to automaticllyattribute that to the defencemen and goalies. As for the arguement that Greene is intimidating, I think any team should be glad he is on the ice as it is only a matter of time before he takes a foolish penalty. This is D1 hockey, a good player isn't intimidated by someone because they might get hit!
  7. UND does NOT have a defenceman worthy of being named one of the best in the country...though they do work well together as a team. Not every vote, poll, or list is out to get the Sioux! take the blinders off squirtcoach!
  8. In the early'90s there was a tournament (post-8 team tourny and pre-A and AA) in which the top 8 in each section played Tier 1 and the rest of the Section played Tier 2. The format lasted 2 or 3 years...poor attendence at the Tier 2 tourny. My point is that this writer may want to get a clue and realize there has been attempts to change the situation. It didn't work out. If you are not good - you are not good. If you are afraid of losing, end your sports career at T-ball.
  9. UND fans - this is the kind of business that keeps giving you a bad name. This, and wasting everyone's time with your student summits declaring the right to swear at games...there is a great team in Grand Forks, the best arena, but way too may idiots thinking like this. Have fun and enjoy watching good hockey - not being stupid.
  10. You have got to be kidding me...Preach on brother.
