I do think we are getting a runoff though (Nodaks vs Roughriders). I think Berry and most of the hockey team coming out to support Nodaks will give that a boost, and just anecdotally I have heard enough support for the other three that I think it will be tough to get 50% for anything.

if all that were true then sure. i am sure it's not, or else i know the wrong people that go/went there. and what they have at their bookstore is pretty immaterial. that stuff could be the most popular for a whole host of reasons that have nothing to do with the nickname or lack of nickname. or it could be that people hate the nickname but don't necessarily want warriors back. that's what camp i would be in if we became the sundogs, for example.

define hanging around. I haven't heard anyone refer to them as the Warriors ever, including people I know who went there. There might be a pocket of people who want the name back but it's not a campus wide thing. Similarly, Miami has moved on, St. John's has moved on. Heck Syracuse has moved on and their name changed like 10 years ago

I didn't vote for nodaks either but it is miles better than being one of almost 50 teams with something to do with Hawks

i'm going roughriders. it's what i thought about when the process was announced and i dont see a good enough reason to go away from it.

i wish i knew at least a little bit of what the proposed logos for each nickname would be. riders is easy enough to imagine but nodaks could go in about 10 million ways. Going with just the interlocking ND might hinder merchandise sale in the long term but who knows at this point.

roughriders and nodaks are neck and neck for me still. guessing i won't be casting a vote until the very end.

They sure haven't been able to pass it much, to the point where it's almost worth the gamble of holding Reyes out to make sure he's 100%. Either way I am thinking UND 24-10 or so.

same. I don't think we will win the league by any stretch but I think we will be comfortably in the middle somewhere.

i like the history angle with Nodaks but ND is the roughrider state and UND is the state's flagship university so it makes sense to me to be the roughriders
