How about sac st at home!? They hadn't won a road game in three years and had a fresh QB . Embarrassing!
-
At this point ....why not
-
How about Rastas at nose, heidlebaugh at one DE and bollant at the other DE....fast elusive group!!!
-
Rudolph is still here .....UND will struggle to stay on the field offensively. UND desperately needs a win to group the guys......Und 23-21
-
What Rudolph brings to the table is a consistent barrage of predictability, no in game strategies or changes, doesn't adapt to his personal, has a difficult time reading what a defense is giving him (or doesn't care) and how to exploit a defense. Instead he continually runs the same f&^*^+€ four plays! Only when they get down by three tds that he turns to page 2 in his playbook. At that point the offense resembles an offense. If he had any offensive aptitude , he would see that sending Santiago up the middle on every €%^>!< 1st down is not working!! The opposing Ds have set up shop along the line waiting to lay smack on the 175 lb. A combination of luck and Santiagos skill/talent will get him more then 2 yards.....yet Rudolph keeps wearing that play out!!! Everyone knows it's going to happen! How much more of those hits can Santiago absorb? Can you tell me one way that Rudolph has used Santiagos skills/talent to better the offense this year or last? Is it by powering him up the middle? Against the Ds in the big sky....Santiago should be around 150 -200yards ave (run/rec) per game without question. Instead his junior has been flushed down the toilet. We get one more year out of what is quite possibly the most explosive player to wear Kelly green. Is it a rule at UND to run on every first down? What a waste of a down. Wonder what would happen if they started a few series out with a pass? Would someone's head explode?.....serious question TEs usage? Apparently he thinks TEs are not made/built for catching? He will not use them....unless down by 20...then maybe, just maybe he will look their way a couple of times and then right back to Santiago up the middle He had heidelbaugh in front of zim? Nothing else needs to be said Can the FBs roll out for a screen ? How about quick two step drops?? Passing options on 1st downs?? Santiago out wide? Nothing! Same four plays over and over. Last year.....UND should have offensively crushed most of the teams they played in the big sky. They didn't . The D was constantly bailing them out and getting them into position or even scoring. Is there other issues like , dropped passes, the o line needs to improve , not the fastest WRs? Sure. That's where a OC would typically recognize the personal he has and change up the philosophy enough to make suitable for the talent he has and then stray away from calling the same four plays that don't work. He's incapable of everything that is offense. On a positive ....I hear he's a really nice guy The four year experiment hasn't worked......it's time

Watched the game again matt cox was either being pushed back all day or the defender just ran around him. He shouldn't be starting Rooney was pushed back quite frequently but more often then not, he kept the guy in front of him. Rastas has the heart , the will and the mentality to be a special player.....just needs to gain 25-30 lbs. He has taken on the leader roll for the D. Very aware and is constantly trying to the guys in the right position. He's very aggressive ...just 190 lbs ! His hits would mean something if he were 230lbs DEs have nearly been nonexistent this year. Offense needs to be reminded that the TEs are a pass catching option. Santiago needs to be lined out wide .....he is just taking a beating running straight up the gut against guys that are 100 lbs bigger then he is. JJ and Brady at least have the girth to with stand some of that beating....Santiago is a tough SOB but man..... opposing teams are targeting true fresh blubaugh. Really like the guy but he shouldn't be playing this year.....more less starting. Canady is going to be a special player. Would love to see a zim to izzy connection.....zim can really throw the long ball and izzy is simply a burner.
-
The last three games ....hmmm How many catches do the TEs have? How many catches do the RBs have? How many 1st downs weren't running plays up the middle? Does UND have an offensive play that has a two step drop? How many freshmsn start on D? How many carries does James have? How many times has Santiago lined up out wide? How many injuries does UND have on D ? How many drops do the WRs have?

Thank you geaux! This thread has been needed for three years The offensive talent on this team is being completely wasted. Rudy has no business being an OC. His kindergarten play calling and lack of in game control is an embarrassment to UND and college football. Bubba needs to rid of loyalty tomorrow......Rudy needs to walk. I will begin to question bubba if he keeps Rudy.
-
Rudolph had him at the end of the bench as of two weeks ago.....no way he starts him....he just doesn't get it.
-
Rudolph will go with an injured Keaton ....book it.
-
You're right....Rudy. I CAN NOT TAKE THE CONSTANT PREDICTABILITY .....he needs to go!!! Bubba better grow a pair and dismiss his ass.
-
Rudys "complex" offense is so difficult to learn that rudy himself has a hard time. Give him four more years to figure it out.
-
By way of Webster ,the word play means to engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose. Rudys "play" calling comes across very recreational and not serious. sac st 49-28
-
Have to feel for the players that are not only injured but the ones playing giving their all. It can't be easy to deal with. As much as we (fans) hate losing, imagine their frustration.

USD 38 your team 28

He's definitely a d1 athlete with his combination size and athleticism. Biggest issue I see is...toughness! It comes across at though he's very timid. If that is the case he would be eaten alive at any position on D. Playing D requires pure aggression. Make it count every time so they quit going your way. That is what I loved about the ratelle and taj combo......they made you think twice about coming up the middle

Beings this year is a lost year ....I looked who the potential starting 11 will be defensively next year. 3 DL austin- 6'4" 300 sen tank- 6'3" 300 sen mason 6'4" 245 jun LB Jade 6'2" 215 jun donnell 6'1" 235 jun noah 6'2" 235 fresh haas. 6'5" 230 soph CB deion 6'3" 200 sen evan 5'11" 180 jun or Torrey 6'1" 185 jun S tamas 6'0 200 sen Ty 6'2" 195 soph If half of those can remain healthy there is meat and experience. The young guys got plenty of playing time this year, which should bode well for next year 2nd stringers DL zeke 6'3" 240 fresh seguin 6'3" 275 fresh or greer 6'2" 290 sen carter 6'3" 235 jun LB tanner 6'1 225 sen cam 6'1" 225 soph jake 6'2" 220 ( hoping) soph Jaxson 6'2" 215 soph CB blubaugh 6'0" 190 soph either Torrey or Evan S canady 6'2" 200 soph ? Vashon ? 5'11" 190 jun This group gets a little lighter. The one thing with unds defense is when they are fairly healthy they are constantly rotating.....not able to that this year. Completely agree with your assessment of smash mouth. I believe if you are only going to have 3-4 base.... the DEs should be at least 250 lbs and the nose should be at least 290. Having a cupboard full of quick small LBs does not get it done with smash mouth. Right before Donnell got hurt in the misery st game , I happened to be watching him.....he went right off the backside of tank to fill a gap.....he was met there by a pulling OL....Donnell lit him up!!!! Nearly put him on his ass ....instead he just knocked him back 5-6 yards and made the tackle. That's what they are missing this year. Nobody left has the size and or attitude to make people move

Crazy top three were: One w/o fresh and two true fresh those three should be two years away at minimum from starting.
-
Yeah the upperclassmen as a whole have been busy being injured or underachieving. Dranka and Greeley have been nearly nonexistent. I really feel tank needs the weight that he lost and put it back on.
-
Nothing different. I think streveler will abuse their secondary. We shall see.
-
USD is a machine right now. Them and jmu are the best two teams in the fcs.

Just read through the spring ball and fall ball practices posts. Most everyone that attended a practice and or practices mentioned Zimmerman was the obvious choice for backup....a clear #2. We all noticed that but not the coaches!?!? Wtf!! Complete incompetent leadership on the offensive side. And your quote about the rbs....I feel the same, John and Brady have one year left. Their jun yr is wasted. I feel for Santiago and Brady as they give it their all every play. Someone on egriz mentioned they thought Santiago had a deflated look in his eyes. John needs to be put out in the slot and a JJ/ Brady combo at rb. He was recruited and practiced as a wr! I believe everyone on here has mentioned the Santiago out wide thing.....but Rudy is content on doing the things that haven't worked and keeps sending the 175 lb straight up the middle when the box is stacked. It's like when he looks at John, he sees a 6'2" 220 lb. Montana stacked 9 in the box!!....He sends him up the middle!?!?! The offense has been a mess for 3 and half years. Rudy needs to go ! I haven mentioned this numerous times ....the D was always able to bail out the O in years past ...they are unable to do that this year.. now Rudys "work" is amplified.

I have really liked sequin from the practices I've attented and he's a big thick dude. Ott needs to add at least 20 more lbs I love his twitch though.
