Your very wrong here. Heagle got 20+ tackles and that was impressive. The entire defense played assignment football, in this case meaning that each defender was responsible for an offensive player and to defend the trioption they must stay on their man even if the defender doesn't think that one is getting the ball. Heagle was the one who hesitated at the plays onset and read it from a few yards back and he was free to persue the football and it worked to near perfection. In doing this type of defense they leave the corners alone so they have added responsibility too. The point is that statistically Heagle was the hero of the game but the whole defense was nearly equally involved in the shutdown.

Those two will have big games as usual but it takes all eleven defenders to stop the triple option. I believe it depends which California team shows. Poly and Davis always have talent and when they're on they're tough to beat but when the California attitude shows up they lose.

Everything you said is correct. In places like Fargo or Mizzoula it is easier to count on the sellout making it less risky to bid high and fargo likes the hotel, restaurant, and mall commerce created by a playoff game and that may be factored in somehow. Being city owned would make a home playoff game a revenue generater for the city of GF

Why is maddog's statement ignorant? I think Ed will be fine but watching our legislature and Governor work gives one reason to be concerned. I think Ed's recent job was lobbying for the big oil's interest in ND, mainly trying to lower extraction taxes among other things. Whether that's good or bad is debateable but I know many who thought that was nuts. I think Ed works for who pays him.

yeah, Ed will likely get it better than Kelly did. I always wondered if there was anyone that would have survived the nickname fiasco during their tenure and come out of it landing on their feet. Clifford may have done it but the fiasco was in it's infancy back then and not ready to come to a head.

I doubt if Ed will actually do much, just fill the shoes for a while. Maybe I'm wrong and he'll eventually become the next president. We might be able to see him accomplish some stuff, but I doubt it.
