That is a reasonable question. Maybe one of the insiders in the know here can explain the concept. There are a lot of layers with their fingers into this and some individuals serve on multiple boards concerning this.

I'd not be that harsh. In her defense she is working with the agreement made before she was in charge. I felt years ago when I saw the contractual agreement that this gift was to give UND a state of the art facility to run the hockey program and it was expected to generate a nice stream of revenue which much would be returned to athletics but some would spread the wealth to other good causes.

It is clear who has the control. Kennedy is doing right by asserting his and his teams wishes but now he needs to stop banging heads with this foundation and it’s controllers and work peacefully with them despite not getting his way. There is a lot at stake here.

I’ve had the pleasure of serving on numerous boards saddled with some big decisions and you often end up where all the options are not what you want but you are forced to pick the wisest among them. That’s usually the reality.

Some of the writing by MJ seem arrogant. He gets a free reign and answers to no one with his writing. His visions are the short sighted thinking that has held our state back.

That’s kinda the only way to get it done in this state. The legislature has the other methods in such a stranglehold.

While football shouldn't be in the equation, I doubt the englestad agreements are in any way holding football back. It's not like football is cranking out big dollars in ticket revenue and tv money. Hockey as a whole is consuming people's sports budgets is where football is being hurt but that isn't necessarily the fault of the Englestad agreements

They were talking a leak someplace downtown not in a restroom and tried to run. Not good but also not drugs or assault. Get the fleeing dropped and have them do extra laps then leave it behind. If it had been hockey players it would already be forgotten and the officers would have been reprimanded and issued an apology.

To be fair, when our volleyball coach did this the Hearld didn’t say boo for a year till he sideswiped a car with a van loaded with his team. Just sayin
