As long as the CHL player doesn't sign a contract with any professional league, they should be able to move to the NCAA and vice versa. A non-signed player shouldn't be punished because the CHL allows a NHL-signed player to play in their league.
The monthly stipend is the other issue, but that's likely to not matter any more. Interestingly, neither Oregon or Alberta ever passed minimum wage exemptions for CHL.

Not Morrow, but when Rizzo decommitted there were multiple people on Twitter saying his dad was not a good hockey parent and pushed him into the decision. Behind many a star athlete are insane parents. Feels like the financial burden of hockey results in more than its fair share.

Based on this tweet, he is probably going Ivy if he wants to play two more years of Juniors, or NESCAC if he wants to get on with it.
