I got sick of their deliberate attempts to injure our players and diving. Our fanbase is far more reviled than theirs.

When he finally writes a book it will be a must-read for sports fans and will make up for the years of meager pay.
-
He played at three different high schools through his Soph season. Guaranteed to transfer during his college career. Not the kind of player DJ wants.

Upperclassman who wants to be here. Top +/- on two bad UMD teams suggests defensive forward.

Fair enough, I only lived in GF for education. Everything that happened when I was there was reported in the news. Maybe spotlight is the correct word rather than scrutiny.
-
Sour grapes on their part; 20+ teams contacted him per Brad's article that was ready the moment it was announced. On that note, sounds like another Johannes in that he's a late bloomer who grew up dreaming of playing for UND. The picture of him with a Sioux jersey with the trophy in Tampa is encouraging.

Down 6-0 at home, he scored a 3rd period hat trick against us. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

And the regular BOSTON + ## that they have is the rare one that works well (IMHO). Makes no sense that they would do anything else.

Grant had all of 5 assists and zero goals in a full ushl season. Had he been a commit we would have yanked his offer.
-
C from RIT with solid numbers in the portal and two years remaining. Obviously Wilkie came from there and was a step behind the NCHC for the first half of the year, but if we don't have CHL silent commits that play C he'd be worth a look.

St Louis joining Buffalo on the never again list for FF hosting with a crowd like this.

Something BC can hopefully sell to blue chips is GF is a better place to prepare for media scrutiny as a pro.

Not encouraging:
-
Sandelin going aggressively after the rent-a-senior scraps.
-
Most likely. Does @gfhockey agree?

Is Duluth's exodus because Sandy is coming home as an assistant?!?

CHLers also have scholarships paid by their team per the educational package, with one year paid per season played. Might be reformed soon but they are guaranteed for everyone that already fulfilled their end of the agreement.

Former teammate (possibly linemate?) of Strinden's at Northstar.

Dubinsky to UW is not a shocker, he's from North shore of Chicago.

Socioeconomics is another part of NIL. Hockey players aren't as likely to turn around and give NIL $ to family, etc. Harvard was able to pay for their team to relocate to Florida during the pandemic due to a benefactor, likely a parent. I've also heard of more than one college team flying on the player's family's private jet. Point is, there are more players that don't see NIL money as life-changing compared to other sports. Everyone getting something, even if it is only low four figures, would help avoid resentment. We can be strategic with the pot we have.

Forgot about that, good point. If he doesn't arrive in the fall, it'd be interesting to know what Dane's preference for him is between USHL and WHL.
-
Not the greatest examples/comparisons, but I remember Christian Cakebread, Braden Costello and Carter Randklev all having good early showings in the USHL then flaming out before making it to campus. If he keeps it up in the playoffs, then we can rule out beginners luck, hopefully they succeed and provide a good sample size.
