More TV deals is a negative. I love having almost every game on NCHC.tv, and I can easily pirate the few on CBS Sports. Might have to work extra hard to get the one game on Root sports, but that's it. I've watched games riding the train home from work, riding (deliberately not driving) through mountain passes and sitting in rush hour traffic (again not myself driving), all because of a yearly pass that costs less than a monthly cable package. Don't want to have another TV network making it more difficult.

I would guess Northwestern since they are Big Ten. I didn't even know Illinois State existed until they played in the FCS championship against a school UND intimidates too much to ever add hockey.

I watched the Michigan and Penn State game last night. Neither team had any sort of defensive structure. My beer league team plays better D than Michigan. All five skaters collapsed back to the net anytime Penn State had possession in their zone, or so it seemed. I think UND could goose egg them from what I saw. I'm hoping for SCSU, UND, Michigan and Minnesota for the regional at the X.

If it's any consolation he's struggling much like he did here. I'd be shocked if he ever got a cup of coffee in the N. In time he could be a case study in why college (or at least UND) is a better path than MJ.

Streamhub.hk has forums that will exacerbate your illness. They don't get as many college hockey games as years past, but still a decent amount. Remember, the cure can be worse than the disease.

Koules would not have seen much ice If he came. He was a scapegoat for the Winterhawks last year as an overager, and it seems like the E is too much for him. Gropp, Gerlach and Tambellini were more meaningful defects.

At no point in that article does Wodon address the elephant in the room: Lucia appears to still be loyal to his alma mater. His retort also doesn't even begin to discuss the culture of hockey in Minnesota, which is a big feature in the City Pages article as well.
Don't bother trying to argue with Wodon though, he believes Seth Jones committed to UND before going to the WHL and when proven wrong he refused to acknowledge his error.

1) entertaining game, lots of pressure rather than neutral zone traps. too bad they didn't win it.
2) Johnson isn't as good a goalie as stats say. bad turnovers and sloppy possession were capitalized upon and as mentioned, his glove was exploited.
3) Brandt has the hockey knowledge that hammer lacks, not unlike kober. Just wish he could spit out that insight...quicker...and more...better...

Good article in the Vegas paper about UNLV. Sounds like they have better finances than anyone expected. Article affirms my belief they are trying to back door into PAC-12 through this. Wouldn't be surprised to see another Mountain West team try the same thing. Never would have guessed they'd be 61.

While we may have a down year coming up fast, our administration is hockey first as far as athletics go and would never allow a fall from grace of this caliber.
Can't feel the slightest bit bad for such a fairweather, entitled and conceited fanbase. Let em rot.

Anyone catch the MN Hockey Moms show with Lee Goren's wife? Saw a Strib article about it and can't say I'm too surprised it was made, especially if one of the moms is a good caricature of what was presented in Fargo. Then again I only skated ponds and parks growing up so no frame of reference for a hockey mom stereotype.

If they offer full membership for all sports, it would be hard to turn down. As a hockey-only fan, I hope this never happens. Affiliate? Ha. It would be great if that is offered to pretend to entertain the notion and waste their time. I wouldn't mind playing Michigan OOC every now and then, but they prefer hosting Atlantic teams (rather than their in-state former CCHA rivals).
