Ref calling out Farley for trying to draw...."there was no reason to fall down"

Downtown Portland (aka Seattle - traffic + mass transit) at Buffalo Wild Wings. Figure they have enough screens to devote one channel to it.

Can someone verify the nchc exit fee? I think it's north of a million. Curious for Wm and Miami.

Why would UND leave the NDHC...aka north dakota hockey conference? We run the show and every one knows it. Notre Dame wasn't happy in hockey east.
Second, they're adding ASU until Iowa or Nebraska does something with the rinks near their campuses. By that time we will have another shake up anyways.

Friiggin' 11 am pacific. long lunch break I guess. Luckily plenty of places right in the vicinity but way too early. My productivity that afternoon will be correlated with their performance.

RIT and Ferris both win with a major home ice advantage at their respective tournaments. Nobody thought either was making the dance.

I almost want MN in the tourney at the expense of UMD.

Regionals are survived. Frozen fours are won.

Getting a bar to deviate from basketball right now is like pulling teeth.

Red was quoted saying it would be good for the conference to get more than one team in the NCAA tournament. Michigan is not going distance. Hopefully it's Penn taking that 14 spot.
Duluth will take the 3rd place game if it's Denver....St. Cloud would like some revenge though.

With Eaves gone it is open recruiting season on Gildon.

The best part of this picture is all the varying emotions.
You have some people that were too busy cheering to see the no goal call, so they're still celebrating UMN "tying" it up.
You have some angry fans. You have some "disbelieving head holders".
And then you have the one (maybe drunk) fan still sieving the UW goalie during the entire goal review and subsequent no goal call.Good stuff.
I'm giving it a shot at work tomorrow as a new computer screen background. Can't help but smile looking at it.

So is Christian Cakebread officially no longer a recruit?
He's somewhat gotten back on track in the BCHL. His fall from grace wasn't of the magnitude of Voltin's. Give him a year (two if B1G doesn't get their way).
Can't wait to read about Tolvanen in this thread. He's apparently best buds with Keane. Only a matter of time.

Kunin's NCAA career is coming to a close depending on who drafts him. Won't take much to get him to go CHL. As for the tournament, it's as if friends and family didn't bother attending.

Vesey writing that article about staying in college has to help his case.

During the series against DU I was talking to a DU season ticket holder and I asked him why there was a student section on Friday, but none on Saturday. He said something along the lines of: Short attention spans combined with the busy city life tends to distract the students. In other words, there is a lot to do on any given weekend. Couple that with solid snow conditions in the mountains and you will find a lot of students skiing on the weekends. It is what it is and I am happy our fans are passionate.
Competing with a local NHL team (and ECHL team) is probably not easy either. They should market themselves as a more affordable alternative.
DU stands to lose their biggest recruiting advantage as PAC 12 schools start up. Beau Bennett tweeted a tongue in cheek commitment to ASU. Moore probably would have considered it as well.

DU is a rich kid daycare for ski bums, I wouldn't expect the students to be engaged. Too bad the locals take their success for granted though. More and more hockey talent coming out of CO due to the Thunderbird program.

Once you've lived in Denver, moving to Minneapolis is a hard sell. Doubtful they have any fans within driving distance.

Both Kas and Cam have shown a weak side lately. I think the rival stepped up a notch with their guy getting punched on national television and the diving call adding insult to non-injury, we will hopefully relish the role of dashing their post-season hopes. They could be the biggest rivals for the current roster.

Wisconsin won after another article about their journey down the rabbit hole riled up the team.

Wisconsin looking good. Could be the opponent.
