It's obvious that people are stuffing the ballot box.

You can vote as many times as you like if you just turn off cookies.

Turn off your cookies, vote, then refresh the page and you can vote again.

The fact that there is a way to vote multiple times invalidates all results from the fan votes.  They need to come up with a better way to only allow one vote per person per day.

D'oh.  Can't believe I didn't think to do that.  My justification is to break the spirit of those carrying an anti-Sioux sentiment.

  2. I always thought of Summit and Grand as a neighborhood per a friend who lived in (on?) Summit Hill.  He referred to it that way so I followed suit.  Anyways, a good alternative to staying downtown St. Paul.

Great point.  Give Target Center another 20-30 years and things will be awesome!

Straw man with a hint of reductio ad absurdum.  Trying to disprove a statement by altering it to the point of absurdity.

Growing up in the cities I always preferred downtown Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul.  Much more for visitors to do and easier light rail access from the airport.  At least wait until the renovations are done at the Target Center before writing it off.

  4. Having the tourney at the X is a recipe for disappointment. Target Center is a clean break from the lofty standard and expectations of the final five. Give them a few more years to get it together. Nostalgia is a powerful force and it's best to avoid it.

  5. While the NCHC is definitely the premier conference for now, it does seem like it's only a matter of time until Miami and Western form a MAC-based regional conference again.  With Alaska teams having an uncertain future as well, we need to enjoy what we have for the time being before further realignment takes place.  I can see us losing the CO schools to a western schools conference when more start up.

It's not uncommon for programs to put team accomplishments on their stat sheets. We have one national title and we list the year it occured. When we win another one the paper will be updated to say "Two Time National Championships". Don't understand why people get so annoyed that UMD lists the 2011 title and that five Hobey Baker Award winners have gone to school at UMD.

I didn't read Brad's tweet but not sure why you're obsessed with name calling another person online. She's not even posted on this website and you're calling her out? Doh'kay. If I even bother mentioning this post by you we're gonna laugh and laugh at the pettiness displayed.

Never seen it done by other teams but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen I suppose.

If she didn't digitally spar with Brad and tweet passive aggressive stuff to Goon I wouldn't know she existed.  I've had plenty of laughs at her delusions that people actually care about every inane thought she has so I'm okay with a few going the other way.

Then take out your banners. same logic right?

Can't tell if you're trolling or genuine, but no.  Banners, which every team hangs from the rafters, are not comparable to listing a lone national championship that is long in the rear view mirror on a piece of paper.  It's tacky and anyone capable of being objective (so likely not any Gopher fans) will agree.

P.S. Did you read Brad's Tweet that Duluth would have been 15th in the pairwise had they won?  Do us a favor and make sure dog-faced Donna puts that in her pipe and smokes it.

  8. They'd (either the school or city of St. Paul) be well served to build a park and ride along the green line at some point, it goes right through campus and one of the stops is at the football stadium a block from Mariucci.  Problem is most of the neighborhoods it goes through are kinda seedy; or at least they were back in the day, maybe the light rail has gentrified them.  But the traffic on University is awful for games and likely got worse with the rail going in so I won't discredit those turned off by traffic.  Also I would gander the majority of people who say there's much more to do in the cities are referring to the one time a year some band they like comes to town or the wider variety in watering holes.
