Sandelin must be fine with putting a dirty team on the ice. I really started noticing that last year.

A win tonight would be incredible! This is such a fun team to watch. I was concerned Cam was injured in the third last night. Hopefully it is what people were saying and it was fatigue/dehydration and he can get the fluids and rest he needs to be good to go tonight.

I had to turn up the volume on the iPad & mobile app. Also have my speakers turned up quite a bit. As far as video quality goes, is seems about as good as it gets streaming wireless. On the computer plugged into internet I get much better feed.

Are more turnovers a characteristic of playing on Olympic ice? Just seems like a lot of turnovers both ways last night and tonight so far.

I really think we have to be proactive and somehow get organized to tell administration what we want. Probably include Gov. Schafer to somehow convince them this part of the process needs to be worked through by people with close connection with the university. Not an outside money grubbing consultant. There are many qualified people locally, regionally, or with close connection that can be involved with the development of the new logo.

I could get behind that.

I find it ridiculous that they have to supposedly "tabulate" the results from on online vote. They University should have had two press releases ready to go out with right away this morning. When votes and surveys are conducted online the results are immediate. All results are come in a value 1 or value 2 and are dumped into a database. There is no tabulating that needs to be done. Waiting to make an announcement botches the process even more. I guess I didn't expect anything better though.

Didn't Luke Johnson have a weird goal like that in regionals last year?

Just Voted. I wouldn't say it was a coin toss, but just as well could have been. I voted for Roughriders, even though I think that Hawks has better possibilities for logos.

I posted this in another nickname thread as well: While I am not a big fan of any of the "top" 3 nicknames, I think in the end (while it may take a while) I will be able to get behind one of them. My curiosity in forum members opinions has kept me coming back to keep reading. However, the highly opinionated lobbyists with closed minded attitudes about logo possibilities has led me to to make the decision to check out of the "Nickname" portion of SiouxSports until this process is complete. There doesn't seem to be any original thoughts or critical thinking going on. Just propaganda. A number of years ago, Minnesota chose "Wild" as a team name. Just imagining about how their process might of went, I can only guess what fans were saying. "What the heck is a wild?" Guess what, a talented graphic artist started laying out ideas. I bet a few were rejected, but who have ever thought that "Wild" could be depicted by an animal head with trees, sunset, north star as an eye, and river for its mouth. In my opinion, one of the best logos out there. They came up with something abstract and put an image to it. While I am not truly excited about any of the remaining three names, but to say that they have no potential for logo ideas is very short sighted. I believe there are a number of possibilities for any one of these ideas. In reality, if somehow Nodaks was chosen. I believe that a graphic artist could probably come up with some good ideas. A logo wouldn't have to be a hick, or farmer or anything like that. I work with an excellent graphic artist and she comes up with things for work that I could never even imagine. Full disclosure, my pick is Nodaks, followed by Roughriders, and lastly Fighting Hawks. However, I believe there is more graphic potential for Fighting Hawks than Roughriders. I will still be in sports forums, but these ones involving the nickname have become stale.

Back when I had it in 2003-2005 most of the picture was blurry. Couldn't hardly tell who was who on the ice and really couldn't tell where the puck was! Zach Parise still made the game look good even with the poor quality!

I am wondering what the quality is like on NCHC TV. Last I had it on an Internet feed was way back in 2003-2005 when I was in grad school at University of Idaho. It has got to be better than it was when UND was producing their own feed back then? I have been contemplating getting the games online but want to know how much better the games are. Thanks

Finally, NCHC opponents. It has been a great stretch of non-conference games to start the season, but I am ready for some conference play!

That is where I am at too. By changing the rules and avoiding a second runoff, not requiring a 50+% majority this is a fixed vote.

I voted for Nodaks and am irate that the process has been changed. This is insanity. I have wrote an email to the president, Peter Johnson, and the Alumni Association. By changing the rules there is no integrity (if there ever was any) to the process. This is is turning into such a rigged vote. Before, I thought that there was no way to screw the voting process up, boy was I wrong.
