  1. The thing is no one seems to care that Roger is leaving. I don't subscribe to the GF Herald, but online it didn't even appear to be front page news. Then I pick up the Dakota Student and there is only a moderate article about it in the Sports section, with the major story going to 100 years of UND basketball.
  2. I believe that's tonite and Saturday http://theralph.com/new2/Watch_The_Sioux_S...h_The_Sioux.php
  3. I've never laughed so hard.

  5. I want to give a thanks to Jim, because the picture I used in the center logo was the one he gave. I simply printed it out on my computer on high gloss paper. There's a picture of me, incase anyone wants to find and sue me for copyright laws. http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3438&hl= 4' x 8' 3/4" plywood. The specs are the exact scale 1:25. I used a "Bar Pour" to protect it. It is equal to 50 coats of varnish and gives a nice high gloss finish (see lights). It also makes it so you can't feel the lip of the center logo I glued on. It's perfect for one of my favorite games. Beer Pong.
  6. That would be all fine and dandy if the Sioux didn't win the League last year, and realistically only lost one player unexpectingly (Bo.) And now they'll probably finish 5th place. Realistically a team should recruit the same number of players every year, so there is no extreme highs and lows. And have other players waiting in the wing, need some unexpected departures. CC and UND 3 WCHA titles in a row. Gophers back to back champs. It can be done to be a good team year after year even with departures.
  7. Interesting stat indeed.
  8. If only talent won hockey games.
  9. Sioux haven't won at CC since 2000
  10. They seem to be doing all right. What is your point? 01Grad compared Murray's point production of this year to last, which I pointed out was like apples and oranges, because see above, helping set Murray up and finish his set ups (which he will get an assist for).
  11. In my view thats a proposterous thing to say. The frozen four or WCHA champinoship is a little harder then picking daisies in mid-July. I don't like Hakstol as a guy but I do respect him. If he continues to bring in talent this team will succeed, its strange how nobody seems to notice how Blais' teams came up short, i.e. Ferris State, the Jason Blake era, hell even Niagara played with them for a period and a half one year. Hakstol hasn't impressed me this year but time will tell whether he's the right guy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  12. OK fair enough. Are you there, because I thought it was for something different, and I guess that's what I get for watching it on TV.
  13. Come on another thread to question coaching? Get a life. Like I said before, how about you wait a couple years. One cannot compare this year to last, because Zach Parise and Brandon Bochenski are some of the greatest players to lace up the skates for the Sioux.
  14. THE OFFICIATING DID NOT CONTROL THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME. Yes I was yelling thank you. Refs call penalties in the final minutes of the game all the time, whether it be makeup calls or not. The refs were not out to get the Sioux. There is no need to be discussing it right now. I bet if one were to look through the threads after a Sioux loss more than one person would mention refing, especially when TH makes a statement.
  15. This and other thread should not be posted. There is no reason. The season is half over. Wait two to three years to get his "report card." Yes, I am like many others am disappointed with this Sioux team, but ZPar and Bochenski meant a ton to this team, in both points and leadership. Some players still see Hakstol as an assistant coach and may not give him the respect he deserves so let those players graduate, so Dave can develop his system from the ground up. It is hard on Hakstol because he has a "full cupboard" compared to Blais, but not as full as many think. Isn't the recruiting duties passed on to the assistants and the high caliber recruites are now do to Berry and Eaves, like Hakstol use to be? There needs to be a systematic measure of success for Dave Hakstol, and I say if he doesn't either make the Frozen Four or win the WCHA within 3-4 years, he should be fired.
  16. The "excuse" is CC is a good team.
  17. PULL GOALIE NOW!!
  18. Lammy is playing great again.
  19. My friend, one must think long term. Many Sioux fans have been Sioux fans for a long time. Yes, the Gophers can be fun to watch on TV. They play great hockey against MANKATO, you wouldn't have said that last weekend when UM got swept at home by this team, CC. A few years ago and possibly a few years down the road that may not be the same depending on players, coaches. You should have already known that the Gophers are in a "major market" and have most of their games televised by "professionals." You think better people should cover the Sioux hockey games, call up your local KVLY or WDAY and tell them to start producing some games. They could possibly do better, and no one is stopping them. UND or WDAZ does not have a contract to broadcast the games. And yes the Warroad/Moorehead game should be one of the greatest HS games in awhile.
  20. No one can call Hennessey a homer...
  21. Hey Gopher fan, 7 titles compared to 5. Nothing else matters. It's NCAA championships, and you cannot argue with it. Have fun arguing "playoff appearances, etc." And have a good day.
  22. There is no room for fairweather fans in the Great Sioux Nation. We only "complain" to make the team better. That is one of the great things about cheering for the Sioux, the low budget small market team that is often better than "americas team" the Gophers, that everyone cheers for in the "state of hockey."
