  1. The last open Taco Johns in the Fargo Moorhead area closed. There will be zero TJ's in the FM area! No self respecting person would live in a place without a Taco Johns nearby!
  2. That wasn't the question. Attempting to thread drift? I guess that means you don't know the answer.
  3. Can anyone think of the last time Grand Forks got any significant amount of federal money for a meaningful project? Flood protection from 1997?
  4. More pickleball courts! Heated pole barn over it about $300,000. I just saved the city zillions.
  5. Maybe they can find some money in the $150 million tax for one?
  6. This validates LIV. The NFL ain't merging with the USFL.
  7. Attack your opponent....and "When all else fails, play the 9/11 card." Likely overheard in a PGA executive meeting.
  8. Bo got the US Sec of Transportation to come to town and announce federal grant of $30 million for the 42nd street project. Guy is a go getter.
  9. And they'll sell like hot cakes like all the other new houses.
  10. "Grand Forks lost 500 people the last two years." "Grand Forks gained 2,900 people the last three years." Aren't statisticals and bias great?!
  11. Those stats also said Grand Forks grew by 3,000 people in one year from 2019-2020. They seem highly accurate.
  12. Thank you. Not bad for 68.
  13. Camel Blue. Uff Da Mud Run ten years ago. First annual.
  14. Did Cedar Rapids also outpace Duluth in growth the last decade? percentage wise
  15. Did you know they also have one of the best FCS teams in the country?
  16. Duluth.
  17. Another "Did you know Fargo is one of the largest cities in the upper Midwest and continues to grow" discussion. Haven't seen that before.
  18. Growing up in GF they make you fear the red. Then a group came along and said that's nonsense. It's perfectly fine to swim in it. Had one last cig, ran the long obstacle course, then beat tired with heavy wet shoes swam across the Red in front of Blue Moose!
  19. What could a person spend $150 million* on? -build a outdoor ampitheater - build a winter tubbing, ski hill with lift and lodge -build a Cabelas that rents boats, atvs, snowmobiles - build Lake Grand Forks (this isn't that uncommon) - build a pavement race track (5,000 at the dirt track last night) - build a drag strip (Brainerds is on national tv) - build a motocross track - build a science center - build any museum - build a indoor skatepark (zero in north dakota) - build a indoor or outdoor paintball arena - build a generic top golf - build an amusement park - build that aquarium Bo wanted - build Space Needle Grand Forks - build fifteen $10 million dollar projects in Grand Forks! You could likely build multiple ones on the list for the money and any all of them would produce a greater economic impact than pickleball nets and a big gym. I'm surprised it didn't include another indoor ice sheet! *this is the spendable amount the tax produces. Sorry couldn't find a good place for this topic. "Things to do" seemed appropriate.
  20. That was for a new 1% tax increase. Much easier to pass an extention on a current tax.
  21. Wonder why they haven't proposed using this tax for a new library I thought they badly wanted?
  22. Yes that's how inflation works. Prices double every 20-25 years. The tax will be worth $20+ million a year in 20-25 years. If you have the same amount of tax for the same amount of time you should get an equivalent. Feels like the Legacy Fund, "there's some money coming in what do you want to spend it on so we don't have to give it back." Seems like there's always a vote for a new tax. Literally just finished the new school tax vote. Was hoping that new road tax would make some sort of difference. Money probably accidently ended up in another department. Now we need more volleyball and tennis nets. It's like they ain't even trying.
  23. Alerus Center costs $80 million to build. The sales tax to build it is for 30 years....that tax brings in $10 million a year.
