For being a private arena (without a tenant at the time IIRC), despite its size, I think Scheels Arena is pretty nice. I'd take it over Bemidji's newer arena, at least the seats, and walkway go 360.

And how does it compare when UND's athletic student fees are supporting five more sports than NDSU. If NDSU wants to raise them to be like UND, why can't UND cut sports to be like NDSU?

It only makes sense to always have UND end the regular season at home...for the trophies.

I think that's false, at one time a few years ago I believe I posted the largest crowds to watch a game at Mariucci and Kohl center were against UND, and it was definately after 2004 iirc.

I know Bismarck is somewhat bigger than GF but that seems like a lot of HS for a town of Bismarcks size vs 2 in GF. Doesn't GF have only one womens team too?
