There's a reality show on CMT called Racing Wives. Which mainly follows a couple wives of Nascar drivers but also stars this lady:

Grand Forks based Alerus Financial plans to go public with an IPO target of $75 Million.

It appears after many years being unsuccessful (late 90s, early 2000s) the latest people behind the idea have started to become amazingly successful: downtown outdoor summer concerts. They started small and slowly and strategically grew the crowd. From cover bands performing other bands hits to the actual band performing their own hits tonight outdoor under the night sky in the Grand Cities.
-
Another amazing sold out crowd last night at the River Cities Speedway to watch the World of Outlaws Sprint cars.

Upgrade to the outdoor boards on Gateway too?

University of North Dakota Hockey 2019-20 Season
Cratter replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
The hardcore fans will always know. You need lots of casual fans to fill 11,000 seats in a town of 60,000. A lot more competition for entertainment dollars today than the 80s. Hockey games (minus a handful) weren't even televised in the 80s let alone massive high definition tvs. -

Snapping Snapchats at the game increases marketing exposure. Thus, increased wireless connectivity increases attendance. -
Wonder what the cash maturity rate is each year for donations ie. pledges upon death from 20 years ago that finally get fulfilled.

Car washes, like storage units, are a "modern, easy" money making opportunities. The style of the proposed rydell one posted above, was "recently" opened in Fargo also.

Hasn't it been like three or four years?

Which puts it in the same range or as a larger employer than Cirrus aircraft in GF. If not yet, it will be. PS Industries has continually expanded its shop in the Industrial park. And each time they think "this is it, we'll overbuild now and be set for a decade plus." Only to run out of room a few years later. I think this might be the fourth or fifth time they've added on to the building now.

Most forgot about GF Restaurants? 1. Perkins 2. Moon .....I can't remember the others.

Alerus is getting a new turf next year.

From your link: There's 20 more jobs from one company in one year.
-
Drove out to the airbase today. I noticed just outside the gate they are building a big new commercial building. Add that to the other shop space that was just completed this spring across from Cenex. Two new buildings in an area that hasn't seen any new construction in decades. Wonder if it's cause of the new UAV park?
-
The biorefinery I listed will add 25 jobs. Simplot freezer will add 30. People investing money in commercial property's like strip malls on S Washington (and the three new commercial shop buildings being built next to Hobby Lobby) probably have a better grip on the local economy than armchair ones. The 500 people that Grand Forks adds every year are working somewhere. (Obviously not all are "working age".) New hugos. New eye surgery facility. I mean I could go on and on but whats the point?
-
It's like saying the roads in Grand Forks lost $6.2 million last year.

Not all have store fronts or actually physically expand. Off the top of my head currently under construction are a new church, ironhide equipment, simplot expansion, new plant by CHS on 42nd, New strip mall on South Washington. Im sure theres more than that this year in GF. Lots of industrial businesses that aren't on main thoroughfares or get articles in the newspaper.

Which got me thinking. How many different buildings have the word Acme on them in Grand Forks? Five?

The car has a build in squeegee for the windshield already attached.
