If you have Unitel cable TV (in the PR area), the following is for you:

I don't think that there is any way ANYONE knows what these guys are going to do, except the players themselves. It's fun to speculate and all, but do you really think that there is "no doubt about it"?

UND: Professors discuss nickname. Is a panel discussion really a "discussion" when there is no dissenting opinion?
-
Where's the "hate" here on this domain that is being caused by the Fighting Sioux nickname? That web blog was classic, Franklin.

How's that saying go.... "Don't let the screen door hit ya where the good Lord split ya".

<snip> Not much of an English major yourself, eh? Oh, and if you could "care less", what's the point of responding? Pretty sure that decision isn't up to someone as ignorant as yourself. Back to the web blog... did one of your kids come up with that idea? Someone that is as "proud" and "honorable" as yourself couldn't possibly think of that as a sensible option to portray your "side" of the debate. Simply baffling

Not so much. He was a sophomore that saw sparse action as a 4th liner in one of their first two games of the year. Looks from here like it will be 14 guys vying for 12 lineup spots. It looks to be a good decision (at this time) for him, hockey-wise. I think UND had a kid do that in a very similar situation back in the early 90's. Was it Paxton Schulte? I think he went to the WHL and played for, and was Captain, of the Spokane Chiefs.

Of course he would. Nice web blog, by the way. Another sign of your true character.

President Kupchella gives a "State of the University" speech, and this is the headline about it in the Fargo Forum: UND president says he forgot to mention nickname issue out of speech

Lettter from another one of those "hang around the fort indians", this one being a holy man. What's Kracker's reaction to this one?

Thanks for the topic, though, Mr. Dodds.

Did anyone else notice the recognition of Martha M. Hoghaug Glasoe on Saturday night? It was right after line-ups were announced and mentioned how she, and her family, have given greatly to UND, specifically the hockey program. How is it possible to place her name on the jumbotron spelled (phonetically, I suppose) HOEHOG? When recognizing someone that has given so much to the UND community, is there not a check in place to be sure that the person being honored has their name spelled correctly? It's no wonder she was looking up at the screen with a puzzled look on her face.

Count me as another befuddled by the audio today. I've adjusted the WMP equalizer all over the place and can't get it anywhere close to audible. Who's the color commentator this year? How has Loo sounded on the PA system?

To paraphrase a great American linguist: (Native) "...Americans don't realize how good they have it. They get bored and feel the need to protest..." GrahamKracker even must admit that as soon as this is "over", and that is whichever way it ends up, that the Lucy Ganje's, the Russell Means', and the Vernon Bellecourt's of the world will simply grab their little placards and sharpies and move on to the next protest. They have no meaningful purpose in life that would do anything for the betterment of ANY of the causes that they "adopt". No original thoughts/ideas. No solutions. No significant contribution to the society that they portray to be "rescuing". I doubt that GrahamKracker will move on, simply because of the attitude that has been put forth in this discussion. I'm not sure there is a "cause" that would want you on their side. The manner in which you have shown zero respect to "Sioux-cia" on here lets others see the great (lack-of) "character" that you portray. And all of this under the guise of internet anonymity. How proud you, and your spouse (KnowtheFacts), must be.
