So if Parise and Suter are worth 13 years and $98 million, what are some of the other guys around the NHL worth now?

I sometimes wonder if the parochialism often exhibited by the Minnesota pro clubs gets in the way of smart business decisions.
It Minnesota's curse: xenophobia.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle other players from a financial aspect, as well as the "supporting cast".
Well, just look what signing Mauer and Morneau to big deals have done for the Twins.

Dave who?

It's just a renaming to better align things:
University of North Dakota >> College of Engineering and Mines >> School of Geology and Geological Engineering

Personally, I thought Mussman to replace Lennon was a shaky choice. I didn't like what I saw out of Muss' first couple teams.
But the last couple season have shown me some key things:
- He's building a team.
- More importantly, he's grown as a coach.
I'm pretty sure neither of his first two teams could've or would've come back against USD like his team last year did. That takes coaching and it takes a team that's starting to believe in itself.
With that he's on a good path and needs to keep growing his team, his staff, and himself as a coach.

I like the Varmints better myself
If you're going that theme why not ... SCOUNDRELS
Yeah, I know everyone would call UND "dirty rotten ... "

He should definitely get that signing bonus before he gets married. Just sayin' ...
Always the shyster you are.

You really think "Oilers" would pass muster with the same political mindset that had problems with the previous moniker?
Oil is e-e-e-evil doncha know.

When I heard Parise's fiancee was in MSP Zach flying back to MSP made perfect sense.
You're about to get married.
You're about to make the second biggest decision of your life so far.
Wouldn't you want to talk it through with the biggest decision in your life in person?

I keep looking for "tells" from teams to understand what their mindsets are.
Pittsburgh gave the biggest tell so far when they moved Stahl.

NJD just pushed in another pile of chips:
They re-signed the goaltending tandem of Brodeur and Hedberg.
-
Why play third fiddle?
That's easy: Cup.
If NJD had won the Cup I'd say it'd be better than 50-50 of him in Minnesota. Now, with LAK with the Cup he's going to a contender is my guess.

As a bonus question:
Will the team that hits the Zachpot hit the Suter-fecta?

That's the best link I've seen in quite a while.
Seeing that on the BSC's website feels good in some ways, is terrifying in other ways, and is relaxing in some ways.

NDSU got beat down by the scholarship rule and a rising UND certainly didn't help.
So fewer scholarship (less money) hurt NDSU? I thought money wasn't the solution.
Then again, everyone was playing under the same scholarship cap. Would that mean NDSU wasn't using them as wisely as others at the time?

In the past, you have dealt with the Ralph Engelstad Arena when it came to program delivery and costs.
Now those areas will be handled exclusively by Midcontinent.
What does that mean?
Does that mean that we'll see games on the live stream at http://www.midcosportsnet.com/schedule/watchonline/

Yeah, he drives a little Fiat around on the field during halftime.

Midfield is nice, but I'd rather see North Dakota players standing with the ball where it says "North Dakota".

Take Mr. Henley's advice ... please.

The question is: Realistic expectations for UND in the Big Sky.
The answer from the fans to Coach Mussman is ...

... which I found rather offensive.
I find petey23's signature offensive.
