I would tend to agree more if the exact same thing wasn't happening on almost every single campus across the US. Becoming way too admistration heavy, tuition continuing to climb, etc.

They are becoming so top heavy with Administrators that you have to pay those salaries some how.
Universities everywhere are bad that way now --> have to have jobs for all those PhDs they turn out.
The public schools are really bad: lots of top-bloat in that realm.

Don't most of those mentioned front onto University? Seems like prime real estate for a new, better building for _______.
And I'd been wondering what happens to the old Med School building.
(I'm assuming the "student housing building" is the conference center across from the Union/parking ramp.)

I must admit that the TJ Oshie I saw post-game and in the NBC Sochi Olympic studios being interviewed is not the TJ Oshie I recall. The young man has matured and actually showed some polish. I must admit I was impressed.
I'm proud to say TJ Oshie represented our (his and my) alma mater well.

UND wouldn't pull Saunders in favor of a totally inexperienced freshman but at that point, why not? What really did they have to lose?
A full season of playing eligibility for that #3 goalie ... for 20 minutes in an already lost game. That's not a good trade.
"Goalie H" hasn't gotten any official playing time this season so this could serve as a redshirt year.
(He's "Goalie H" because I have no idea how to spell his name.)

I think what we're seeing is the long-term effect of Miller, Matteau and Koules bolting for the CHL, and Nelson leaving early. The recruiting classes and talent level are unbalanced. Guys like Gaarder and Pattyn were brought in to replace Miller and Matteau which obviously isn't an even trade. A few grinders are fine, but UND ended up having to take in a few more to fill gaps in a short amount of time. Hopefully things start evening out over the next few recruiting classes.

1. Can we decline penalties? All the UND PP seems to do is burn two minutes off the clock with no threat on the opponent goal.
2. I'm going to say it: This team has too many grinders. Sorry, but where is the offensive talent? Gaarder, St. Clair, Chyzyk, would struggle to make the team 10 years ago. I put bringing guys that like in as simply being stubborn to a system.
3. Mentioning 'system': Back to the right-wing 5x5 entry ... every time. Good grief, every team on earth has tape on that and knows how to stop it. So do something different. Where is the offensive creativity? Where is the free-form play. Oh, yeah, grinders don't have any, and it's all about system play.

No, the reason was their best players were on the bench in foul trouble. If UND and NDSU play 10 times in the BSA, NDSU wins 10, NDSU wins 8 out of 10 on a neutral floor, and maybe they split in the Betty.

In the WCHA that game would've been on a Friday night, not a Thursday night. That alone is worth about 2k more attendance is my guess. And that's on the Big Ten (Network).
