  1. Marilyn Haggerty would say Oliv ... never mind.
  2. <tasteless joke regarding Tiger and mistresses here>
  3. Thank you Capt. Obvious. I do what I can.
  4. Hak was at UND Boosters in Fargo last week. Here's what was heard by that crowd: - LaDue and Thompson coming in at defense* - Tambellini, Luke Johnson, and Wade Murphy coming at forward** - still evaluating which other defenseman prospect to bring in*** - working on determining what to do with the third goaltender slot**** - got a strange vibe from Hak that there may be another departure (probably a "low playing time" guy) - should have it all figured out by mid-May *that covers the departing seniors (MacWilliam, Gleason) **that covers the departing seniors (Knight, Kristo, Rowney) ***to cover Forbort's early departure ... has Gage Ausmus officially committed anywhere after backing out on DU? ****no one can replace the man, the myth, the legend, ... the Tater.
  5. I am proud to announce I've overtaken the #3 slot for most posts in this forum. I finally passed the previous #3. It only took him ("PCM") not posting here for about 3 years for it to happen.
  6. From that link: So the MVFC commissioner sees the potential of "three tier" DI football. Maybe it's not so outlandish what I've said for a while: - The BCS conferences of FBS - The rest of FBS plus the top of FCS* - The rest of DI (primarily non-scholarship) *Gene Taylor recently called for a scheduling alliance amongst the Big Sky, MVFC, Southland, and CAA. That'd be the "top of FCS" I speak of.
  7. That, ... or Acts 20:30 pretty much predicted charlatans of all ilks, including the climate change crowd, when it said " ... men will come forward perverting the truth to draw the disciples away after them". Now, as far as "science", much less what some call "settled science" regarding climate, and such, I forget, is it OK to eat eggs or not eat eggs this decade. One minute they're bad for you (cholesterol) and the next they're great because of the protein, It's been so back-and-forth I can't keep it straight. Science can't make up it's mind on eggs. I'm thinking climate may be a bit more challenging scientifically.
  8. Most striking to me: The Melrose comment with 14 minutes to play and Yale up 2-0 about Yale still pressuring because you can't sit back and protect a lead that long. Did you hear that Dave.
  9. Simpson with the C. Pattyn and Grimaldi will have an A. If they run with a third A ... I'm not sure who.
  10. I still say FBS* will come to UND and NDSU because the BCS schools will create their own exclusive top-tier (and keep all the money) playground. *I call it "FBS" but it'll be what's left of FBS after the BCS schools leave plus the top portion of today's FCS.
  11. Last I checked, everything northeast and east of FargoDome is ... residential (except for a Stop'n'Go and Mc'D). South and west is NDSU campus; northwest is airport. North is the NDSCS Fargo campus and a couple fast-food joints. The area that is being targeted for apartments is perfect for that. The majority of the parcel is too far off of 42nd to be easy access retail. So north of Alerus will be residential. Northeast will be UND's golf course. East will be retail. South will be commercial (and west is I-29). Am I missing something?
  12. It's raining in Fargo. #notgood
  13. He's not on the path. He's quite a ways down it.
  14. I don't see killer instinct in recent teams. When you're up you can sit back and protect or go for the throat and bury the other team. The sit back and lose thing is getting old.
  15. Well, they couldn't sweep a home series all year. These guys don't finish. That has to change.
  16. The WCHA ran a TV TO at the first stop in play under 15, 10, and 5 minutes (with some exceptions, like not during a power play).
  17. If you mean on-air, probably not unless someone picks up the NCAA feed.
  18. I think the WR from Alaska should switch to DB so we could have all four guys with that last name in the secondary. It'd be a Brown-out.
  19. I thought you were going to say you were becoming Minnesotan. I was going to ask if you brought tater tot hotdish or red Jello to the church pot luck to confirm it.
  20. Your math is right. That is disgusting. Why not just have them play in Conte Forum.
  21. Did you just admit to watching Grey's Anatomy? Turn in your Man Card as you exit immediately. That is all.
  22. More rest time for the #1 seed (if they win).
  23. "DU will travel 400 more miles for its regional this weekend than BC has traveled for regionals in the last 13 years COMBINED." Run the math on that: Denver to Manchester is 2000 miles. If DU will travel 400 miles more that means 1600 miles is the baseline for comparison. 1600 miles / 13 years is an average of 123 miles per year. Put that in perspective: Over the last 13 years, on average, what BC has had to travel is the equivalent of Grand Forks to Bemidji.
