'Bypass' with cash? No. Move up the list by "adding points"? Probably. Preference points: http://www.undalumni.org/fsc-priority-points.htm I have tickets and wanted to get a couple more. I'm sure there are other folks like me out there also. I'm not able to get them either. Maybe they should have built the arena the size of the one in Tampa.

To me it is clear: The level of ND HS hockey competition doesn't prepare you for the rigors of the WCHA. Coming right to a top tier Division I program from high school is a rarity any more. The Zach Parises and Drew Staffords are exceptions, even from preps like Shattuck-St. Mary's. The best example I could give to try to convince someone: Quinn Fylling. He tried coming from the US National Development Team. He ended up leaving UND for a year to play in Sioux Falls. He's a much better player for it and able to contribute more at UND now.

The NHL CSS lists Kyle Radke as the #169 North American skater. He gets knocked on because he's under six feet (5' 11") and under 200 pounds (190). Hockey's Future says he's the 9th best available player from the CJAHL (the Canadian non-Major Junior leagues). They also list Travis Zajac as the best available in that category. Stafford is listed as the 2nd best available NCAA player (Montoya, Michigan's goalie). More information on Radke and Zajac and Stafford.
-
That just said "top 5 overall", not just amongst North Americans, right?
-
He's ranked as the second best prospect in the NCAA headed into the draft, but his biography is a little barren in here.
-
Here are the "Hockey's Future" reports on Travis Zajac and Kyle Radke.

YES! Good concept: Start at Massen's; end at Fylling's.

I'm with PCM: Pass. If I want to see B) or C) I'll look into the student sections when the puck is in play. (Now I'm in trouble. )

OK, .... Moreland needs to get to the weight pile and on the bike* (avoiding GF potholes and we'll call avoiding the potholes "agility training"). Current and prospective members of the team would be well advised to do the same. The bike is great work for hockey players: legs and cardio. Matt Moreland, et al, are you listening? * Cross country tour with rolling land? Why not offer them the scenic beauty of a bike ride from Baldhill Dam to Kathryn? Or how about Bismarck to Washburn up 1804? A ride around the Bully Pulpit Golf Course at Medora?
-
You've convinced me. A steady round of that regimine, including the bike, for all of them! PS - GF is an nasty town to ride the bike in. You never get to coast (rest) because there's never a downhill.

6' and 165? May I recommend the steak dinner, the protein shake, two-liters of water, and a two-hour session with an iron pile? Repeat daily until at least 185.

The Horizon League gives "the cold shoulder" to South Dakota State University, similar to what the Missouri Valley Conference did the week before. http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/sports/8941972.htm

The 1987 and 2004 teams each outscored their opponents .... by more than they allowed the opponents to score!
-
You only get points for either Indoor or Outdoor Track, not both, and you get the points associated with the higher finish (indoor versus outdoor). NACDA scoring system. As far as GVSU's womens tennis or GVSU in general: They don't need more points.

Congratulations to UND Athletes for finishing fourth nationally and as the top NCC school in this year's NACDA Director's Cup. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/news/r...RELEASE_ID=3017 Now we just need to take care of those confounded Lakers ..... PS - Congratulations to GVSU (begrudgingly).

sprig: Your wish is my command. From http://www.forecaster.ca/hockeynews/hockey...t-Profiles1to25 Stafford is listed at 12 in the link.

The AAU is the Amateur Athletics Union (not to be confused the Association of American Universities).

Too bad NDSU is newbies and has nothing "DI-AA" to say to them.

Hockey is a team sport. Team first. Then individual honors.

I believe that's the last time the MacNaughton Cup has spent a part of a summer anywhere in Minnesota. 1998 North Dakota 1999 North Dakota 2000 Wisconsin 2001 North Dakota 2002 Denver 2003 Colorado College 2004 North Dakota Heck, the State of Minnesota has to rely on UM-Duluth in 1993 for the last full-summer MacNaughton sighting!

The 1997 University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux Mens Hockey Team - WCHA Regular Season Champions - WCHA Tournament Champions - NCAA Champions The "Trifecta". I think there's only one greater feat: "The Hrkac Quad" from 1987. - WCHA Regular Season Champions - WCHA Tournament Champions - NCAA Champions - Hobey Baker Award winner* * You need solid supporting cast (linemates) to win a Hobey. Somebody has to bury your assists and you have to bury what you're given.
