  1. I've forgotten more than you'll ever know.
  2. I'd have an easy time believing Parise will be back, except for this.
  3. I have no knowledge of or contact with African waterways.
  4. Or maybe CEK's way of telling folks, "You've told me the money would be there, show me."
  5. You must have me confused with PCM when it comes to "old".
  6. You got the idea to charge for copying an idea when I charged you for copying one of my ideas. Ha-HA!
  7. Going back to the post that started this thread, what jumps out: - Genoway is playing D --> 8 defensemen. - Forney is coming now --> 14th forward. Michael, I hope you're ready for the WCHA. - Trupp is still a 2007 recruit. - Hunter Bishop is reported to be coming this fall --> 15th forward, just as speculated. On other topics, the question was, "what if Parise leaves?" The answer is Anthony Grieco. Tune in again tomorrow for "As the Roster Turns".
  8. You may be wrong; you may be right; all we know for sure is that when the rubber met the road, keeping UND Hockey was more important to (profit-driven corporate) Clear Channel. Either way, how terrible to be losing UND radio listeners to UND TV viewers. PS - The number of folks that turn on the TV, mute it, and then turn on the radio for Tim Hennessy (instead of Pat Sweeny) is sizable. Nothing against Pat, but I admit to doing it. I prefer Tim.
  9. Of course there's humor in the other side of that coin as well. From the In-Forum link above:

    NCC

If (when?) UND goes DI it's almost a given that UN-Omaha is going to the MIAA. Would the NCC be able to lure Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan from the GLIAC? Travel from those two to SCSU, MSU-Mankato, UM-Duluth, Augustana, and USD wouldn't be too bad. (It's the UND and UNO trips that get really long for the Upper Peninsula schools.) Then again, if any other NCC school is making any type of gesture at DI (SCSU? USD?) would Tech or Northern want to leave the stability of the GLIAC? It's going to get more confusing before clearer.
  11. Speaking about carrying NDSU broadcasts:
  12. If memory serves, wasn't Sioux Football on KFYR and Bison Football (under agreement with WDAY) on KXMR last season? If CCND now has UMary Football, and because the Herald story on UND's contract specifically says UND Football is on KFYR, and because negotiations between CCND and NDSU broke off (down?), does that leave NDSU Bison Football as the "odd-man out" on those stations?
  13. Back to the issue at hand: Why is it that Potts is the bad guy when 10 of 11 NDUS university presidents don't seem to have any (explosively public) issues with him?
  14. If you are taking an on-line or correspondence course through UND many of those courses/programs require that exams be given by a proctor known to UND. Thus, given UND's existing offices to support UND's Medical School at the VA Hospital in north Fargo, that is where many folks are able to find a UND proctor for exams. Believe it or not, the issue wasn't the courses or the office space as much as a sign that said, "UND Fargo."
  15. 'dagies': You should get those folks to an audiologist. My guess is they're offended because they're hearing "back oriface."
  16. First, apparently, there was fire where there was smoke (Holmberg story about a month ago). Next, the ND SBoHE needs to make a decision. Is what they oversee: - 11 separate and unique campuses each led locally by a president, or - a system of 11 universities led by a common chancellor. Call it "weak chancellor" or "strong chancellor". Call it "everyone on their own" or "a statewide system". Which is it?
  17. http://www2.indystar.com/NCAA_financial_reports/ A very good database thanks to the Indianapolis newspaper.
  18. I assume, by this being privately funded, that in the off chance that there are fiscal damages assigned against the NCAA the funds would go only to UND. I say this because if it would be publicly funded the funds would have to go to the State's general fund.
  19. And whoo-wee! Shut my mouth; slap your grandma.
  20. Kariya was a freshman in 1993. (DOB?) http://www.hobeybaker.com/history/winners.htm
  21. You ask a good question. The NCAA's "catalyst for social change" monger has already hinted at some potential targets. They are covered in this long-winded thread on another board. If you want to save time, just read posts #1 and #8 in that thread. They'll cause you to look at the rest.
  22. Be careful what you wish for.
  23. "Belfour leaves it behind the net for Kidd, out to Johnson, over to Hrkac, to Joyce ... " was rather pleasant also.
