  1. Heck, remember, if you're on a UND computer or computing system you are subject to audit under the rules of use per the UND computing facilities agreement you signed up to. UND can audit incoming or outgoing traffic for appropriate content. And good lawyers grab all emails, all communications, for discovery in cases all the time. With that in mind, if I were an attorney in the case I wouldn't go for discover on just intra-NCAA email traffic but maybe all traffic between certain domains (NCAA.org? UND.edu?) that are key in this case. It's open to discovery like anything else. Who knows if you'll find anything, but that's why you do discovery.
  2. Reject secrecy request
  3. There's no clear-cut favorite in this horse race; there's just the current leader (Freund). If someone stumbles the field runs for the lead. If Brock can do the job, Brock'll do the job, but Dan's on the inside rail right now.
  4. All cynicism toward McLeod and Shepherd (and they are due) aside, will this be the first weekend all year that the WCHA referees will call the obstruction rule the way the rest of the NCAA, especially the CCHA and HEA, has called it all season long? Let's face it: - Chris Porter's little-bitty high tug at the shoulder with the stick: obstruction hook. - Mike Vanelli's uncanny ability to discretely put a stick onto an ankle to slow someone down: obstruction tripping. - Casey Borer's knack at getting into the skating line of an opponent to let his partner get to the puck first: obstruction interference. If the WCHA officers don't tell the WCHA officials to follow the NCAA guidelines regarding obstruction this weekend (and next) they're doing a disservice to all those WCHA teams who make the field of 16 because the WCHA will be seeing HEA or CCHA officials in two weeks. And they'll be spending a lot of time skating the penalty kill.
  5. Is it Wednesday yet? I want to hear the NCAA's argument for sealing the documentation of their star chamber activities. It should be good comedy.
  6. I knew that. I fixed it. (See what happens when you copy/paste from another site too quickly.)
  7. Indeed. (Kenny is a character from the show "South Park". In many, many episodes, he is killed in some freakishly funny way. Afterwards, his friends Stan and Kyle say:) Stan: "Oh my God! They killed Kenny!" Kyle: "You Bastards!" (And in some episodes rats, that look a little too much like Goldie to my eyes, run in and start devouring the body. Slap Shot is surely behind all of it, and the posters too. And he's behind that Roswell, NM, thing too.)
  8. Can I help that I've been right that long? At least it's cheap because most of these threads are pretty much low-bid.
  9. Nobody with the correct response .... (shakes head in disgust) ....
  10. What? Did he think he should have been ahead of Vanelli on the PP unit? Whatever.
  11. http://www.nwa.com They said during the UM-D series that a home, first round series for UND would be on FSSN. Do what you did during the regular season.
  12. Welcome to the other 5%.
  13. Go. To. The Ralph.
  14. And you know what else Gopher fans.... You killed Kenny!
  15. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. My prediction on best contest for a starting role: QB. I've heard that the QB depth chart reads Freund, Konrath, Landry. Is that accurate?
  16. That's the safest bet on the board.
  17. Since the pre-season I've said ....
  18. So the "poster conspiracy" guy is back. Wasn't someone supposed to buy them some new tin foil for their hat?
  19. Little did you realize you were manipulated into doing all of that by .... The Vast Fighting Sioux Conspiracy ... if you only knew ...
  20. Same logic, different specifics?
  21. That time of day (2141 CST) is right after the first period of the DU at CC game. - UND fans talking about 7-2 over SCSU, plus - worried DU fans looking at what DU has to do to finish third (i.e. win, which they did not)
  22. The polite word for that is "negotiations." My guess: Every member school that hasn't been paying attention to how the Executive Committee has operated up to this point.
  23. I don't like that speculating (although I agree with the thought process). I'd rather speculate about what embarrassing things may be in those documents.
