  1. You must play NCAA soccer either on natural grass or Field Turf. Memorial is a carpet like The Al (and the ball never stops rolling on that).
  2. " ... if you only knew ... " Signed, The Vast Fighting Sioux Conspiracy " ... if you only knew ... "
  3. That's nice for the spring game each year, eh?
  4. Some light reading for you all (courtesy the Dakota Student): Carr: http://media.www.dakotastudent.com/media/s...e-2877171.shtml Indoor Training Facility: http://media.www.dakotastudent.com/media/s...n-2877188.shtml
  5. Rolled up? No .... but ....
  6. They're now the Carolina Hurricanes. I miss the old Whale-tail jerseys.
  7. Is Toews worth the rookie max? Yes. Is Chicago dumb enough to try to low-ball Toews? Yes. Is Chicago cheap enough to try to low-ball Toews? Yes. Is Toews smart enough to realize he's worth more than a low-ball offer? Yes. Does Toews have some leverage in this? Yes*. Does Toews have some other leverage in this? Yes**. Will Toews use it? ... only Toews knows ... * Jack Johnson effectively forced CAR to trade his draft rights to LAK. ** On August 1, 2009, if he stays in college and he's not signed by CHI he's a free agent (limited to rookie max money).
  8. Read 'em. Read 'em all. What are you going to find in there that's worse than what UND has been slandered with already? But if you do open and read 'em all, send me all of the NCAA's stuff.
  9. Even "happy" couldn't say that with a straight face: He's the one that had to take down those MBB Final Four banners from The Barn at U of M.
  10. Ask directions from a genie in a bottle of Jim Beam, and she lies to you .... That's when you learn the truth.
  11. "I am an expert witness, because I say I am."
  12. Is that like the Holy Grail of jerseys? How ever do the NFL teams that wear Reebok jerseys survive .... Jerseys are important; what's in them is more important.
  13. The "big hit" was already suffered by KO and the league when Hirsch left the Gophers (or did the Gophers leave Hirsch). (Look at KO's numbers with and without Hirsch on the team.)
  14. Water isn't a weapon. Actually it helps things grow. Fertilizer isn't a weapon. Actually it helps things grow. Diesel fuel isn't a weapon. It helps farmers help things grow. Yet Tim McVeigh used fertilizer and diesel fuel to kill people. Ban fertilizer. Ban diesel fuel. Or ban the MeVeighs and Chos.
  15. I bet VaTech had a "no firearms on campus" policy.
  16. Are we looking just murder or the total of all violent crime?
  17. I'm reading this as Judge Jahnke reiterating his desire for an out of court settlement. http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...mp;section=News
  18. We have cheerleaders?
  19. Is the NCAA sure it really wants to do that? "Hostile and abusive" is not "fighting words". You can only censor "fighting words". Like Judge Jahnke said in the temporary injunction:
  20. Remember the attack at Appalachian School of Law? Three dead. The gunman wrestled down and stopped by three others. End of story, right? That's what the media said ... (cue Paul Harvey and ... the rest of the story) Turns out two of the three "wrestlers" went to their vehicles, got private weapons, and then subdued the attacker. How many knew that (obviously unimportant to the media) detail.
  21. Quite simply "April 20". (Put it or "4/20" into a search engine and see what pops.) - the cannabis culture - Columbine - Hitler's birthday It's the confluence of a whole set of freaky sub-cultures.
  22. One need only look at England's experience regarding disarming citizens and the effect on violent crime. How bad has it gotten over there?
  23. The only speech that can be censored is "fighting words". As long as Sioux Falls or Sioux City exist, or as long as (tribally owned) Sioux Industries operates, or as long as the Standing Rock Sioux call themselves Sioux, Sioux can not be claimed as a "fighting word" (as it consistently does not "incite an immediate violent response").
  24. Given that knowledge and background (that both have the right to speech), which is more dangerous: - allowing one group to speak (using the same word the "harmed" use) as they have for many years, or - allowing another group to shut the first group up. Tell me again: Which group is trying to take speech away from the other?
  25. What are you really more afraid of here: People spending their private dollars as they choose, or UND winning this case.
