  1. Well, one man has made a guess or two already ....
  2. I am an expert witness because I say I am.
  3. We get to see how our public neighbors operate within the realm of mutual interests and public policy. It'll be great to learn who they really are. And then we can operate in kind.
  4. We'll, now we see if the Sioux are as strong as the Seminoles, the Chippewas, and the Utes. Given what I've seen of their current leadership, they're not.
  5. Bismarck High? Weston Dressler flash-backs?
  6. That's stereotyping and stereotyping is bad. (See everything I've learned. )
  7. From: 2007 NCAA DIVISION I MEN'S BASKETBALL ATTENDANCE TEAM LEADERS Teams playing NCAA Division I mens basketball: 325. Teams averaging 10,000 fans per home game: 47. Teams averaging 12,000 fans per home game: 31. North Dakota Mens Ice Hockey (2005-2006, sorry best number I have): 10,621*. * In 2007, that would rank #38 in MBB, or almost top 10 percent.
  8. Depends. Who'd Myra Pearson last talk to? We can't live like that.
  9. Per Wikipedia "US State Nicknames": North Dakota Flickertail State <-- Been there, done that. Sioux State <-- That one is fading away according to His Horse is Thunder. Peace Garden State <-- Coaches in gardening gloves aren't photogenic; PCM'll explain. Rough Rider State
  10. If it comes to that, I'm sure UND will find some part of the budget to make it work ....
  11. Today, I think I know why it says "North Dakota" and not something else under that "interlocked" logo.
  12. Storm, Thunder, and Lightning are out because we can't offend (or scare) Northwood residents after the tornado. Heat? In ND? Wild is a Minnesota hockey team. Nope. Fusion is nuclearly related and we can't upset Greenpeace. Fury (Furies) were mythical vengeful females and we can't be stereotyping. Silver Hawks? Not with Blue Hawks in Dickinson. I'll just ignore Blue Sky and Shining Prairie.
  13. Isn't it great! We get to see their true colors.
  14. Teddy Roosevelt would say something about how it's easier to be the critic than the man in the arena.
  15. Unfairly? Didn't they always tell us it should be their decision? That's what still has me chuckling in all of this: Ron His Horse is Thunder finally gets his dream, the power to make "Fighting Sioux" go away, and now he's complaining, complaining!, that it was dropped in his lap and he really doesn't want it. Heck of a leader he must be.
  16. Because this way Standing Rock and Spirit Lake will have done it to themselves.
  17. http://www.mratings.com/rate.php?lg=cf
  18. And the best part? The NCAA jammed them up this way.
  19. If you think that's the case, in the words of BTO, "You ain't seen nothing yet."
  20. Oh to find out someone "false flagged" the information to the Fargo Forum to find a leak.
  21. His Horse is Thunder (Standing Rock) and Pearson (Spirit Lake) should be giving out shouts of joy if this is true. They've been handed the power if this is true. Isn't that what they really wanted? Yet, they seem hesitant, almost fearful, of the power of this rumored settlement. Why is that? I think they know that they are misaligned to the will of the peoples they "lead". Better yet, whatever decisions Spirit Lake and Standing Rock come to are simply self-imposed. They get to live with whatever they choose. Good for them: I hope they enjoy being the center of the firestorm for a while. UND will go on either way, with or without them. Stronger.
  22. I heard only if Forum Communications CEO Bill Marcil promises to cover it for the Fargo Forum, GF Herald, WDAY-AM, WDAY-TV, and WDAZ-TV wearing his. LiveStar uplink!
  23. Now this is funny, I don't care who ya are .... Gotta love a good boomerang. Sure hope the Forum writer and editor enjoy their next personnel reviews. Involvement? I thought newspapers reported on the news, not are "involved" in it. Gee, could His Honor, Judge Jahnke, be riled up about the media trying to affect the outcome instead of just reporting it? Oh, that's right, the media never has its own agenda .... Source: http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...ection=homepage
