Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 A lot of individual talent on this US team. Now they just need to figure out how to play as a team. Quote

Redneksioux Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 A guy mentioned it on hfboards - first time hearing about it but it rocks! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Skille hits a post on a breakaway. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Okposo draws another penalty for the US. Quote
sprig Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 A guy mentioned it on hfboards - first time hearing about it but it rocks! I've used it for nhl games but had problems with it freezing/skipping. Seems to be working ok for this game, however, a "World Junior Hockey Championship" station has been added. Quote
Redneksioux Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 26 saves for the German goaltender? Lets get one by him! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Shots, 29-8 in favor of the U.S. Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 U.S. takes a Too Many Men penalty with 24 seconds left in the 2nd. EDIT: Make that Germany with Too many men. U.S. PP. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 End of the 2nd. Frustrating game to watch. Feels like we're watching the Sioux. Shots, shots, and more shots, but not goals. Personally, I think we're making the German goaltender look better than he is. Germans do a good job at keeping play on the perimeter, or at least, out from right in front of the net. Need to solve this team early in the 3rd and than pour it on. Quote
sprig Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I can not get sound, anyone else ? Too much freezing for me, went back to usa audio broadcast. Quote
NorthDakotaHockey Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Any chance of a report on the actual score? Last I saw was 1-0 Germany early on. Is that it? If so, why 29 shots, with 26 saves for Germany's goalie? Quote

If so, why 29 shots, with 26 saves for Germany's goalie? Still 1-0. They're listening to audiocast, I'm watching the game. Audiocast behind telecast. Quote
NorthDakotaHockey Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Thanks. Does sound alot like Sioux games of late, hungry for a goal. Only we would have been badly outshot and outplayed in the second period. Quote
sprig Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 If so, why 29 shots, with 26 saves for Germany's goalie? I believe the US had 3 more quick shots after rednecksioux posted the 26 saves. 1-0 Germany, second period intermission. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Toews interviewed during intermission. Talking about how everyone has basically put a bullseye on Team Canada and will bring their best game to play against them. Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 U.S. is 0 for 7 on the PP today. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Make that 0 for 8 on the PP. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 U.S. take a tripping penalty. Quote
jk Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Heard Chorney a lot. Lee not so much. Also, Chorney has played on the first PP unit (I think), but the second has been staffed with 4 forwards and 1 defenseman. Lee has had PK time though. Quote
sprig Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Better score on the PP this time, starting to feel like a 1-0 loss. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 Erik Johnson trying to do everything again. Canadian announcers all over him about playing team play. Quote
