He got expelled from school but only suspended by the team. Way to be tough on crime, coach. :hypocrite:

C'mon, Diggler, he's the back-up punter fer cryin' out loud! He's an integral part of the team, especially now that the starting punter has been mysteriously injured. You can't expect the coach to make a snap decision on something like this. :p

If it had to happen anywhere, I would have guessed UNC. Anyone from CO or who knows the program will agree that they allow any criminal in there they can get. Reference Steve Cutlip.

This guy was at Wyoming before going to UNC. According to the Greeley Tribune- apparently he's an average punter that doesn't belong at a 1-AA school. They let him walk on, and there was no chance of him getting serious time. Sounds like his mom was a little obcessed with his career and used to videotape every kick he took in high school at practice. What a freak.

It's becoming alarming on how these oddball athletes all seem to have psycho parents/parent behind them all the way through.

Eric Lindros, Phil Kessel in hockey.... this guy in football.... many other psycho parents are out there, some of them are stupid enough to commit felonious acts before they can further corrupt their kids, but still...

Casper Star-Tribune: When ambition exceeds talent

The stands were always full on Friday nights at the Wheatland High School football stadium, one of the main gathering places in a small town where everybody knows everybody and prep sports still bring people together. On most other days, the stands were pretty much empty -- except for the presence of Suzanne Cozad and her video camera. "She filmed pretty much everything Mitch did," said Wheatland football player Taylor Derra. "It seemed like she was there a lot."
"A mama's boy," said another teammate, Colt Thayer. "She babied him too much." "Set his goals a little too high," Derra said about Cozad's attempts to walk on at Wyoming two years ago. "I mean, I could see him playing in college somewhere. But Division I? You could tell that wasn't going to happen."

Undeterred, Cozad did walk on at Wyoming. But he never made it onto the Cowboys' depth chart, never even had his picture taken for the media guide, said assistant sports information director Tim Harkins.
