bisonguy Posted February 5, 2003 Posted February 5, 2003 Anybody hear anything about the UND students that were in Fargo today? I heard the tail end of the story on the radio, but just heard that the UND students would be going before the State Board of Education. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 I didn't hear the story, but I'm pretty sure it was the same group on a different day. Quote
UND92,96 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 It was BRIDGES. Hard to believe, huh? Apparently they haven't gotten enough press lately from the Heraldo so they're looking for publicity elsewhere. Quote

Apparently they haven't gotten enough press lately from the Heraldo so they're looking for publicity elsewhere. David Dodds will most likely have this story on the front page of tomorrow's paper. I'm guessing below the fold, though. It will at the very least make the front page of the 'Local' section. It's not like they can come up with an original thought on the topic. I'm surprised the Herald hasn't tied the beating and alleged urinating on the American Indian by police down in the Twin Cities to the Sioux nickname. You can bet that Vernon Bellecourt has. Quote
Goon Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 Well you have to almost count on something like this it has been a while since the story has gotten any press in Grand Forks so out goes the pro-name change people to stir something up. Classic. Quote
