Sioux-cia Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 What types of activities do people do Independence Day weekend out in North Dakota? Well, I'm going to dig up the bricks on the side of my driveway that have sunk down below the driveway level, put down more dirt, put the bricks back in, dig up two near dead bushes around the deck, plant a couple of new ones, put down more rock around the deck, place a cedar border around the deck's landscaping, fill some holes in the back yard and ready it for reseeding after Labor Day (a horticulturist told me to wait until then) and after that's all done, I'm gonna sit in my screened gazebo and drink something tall and cold and read a good book!! Pheew, I'm tired already!! Quote
Sioux-cia Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Just don't do it in my yard, the dogs have put enough holes there!!! Quote
airmail Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I'll be in the Hatton, ND demolition derby. It's a 4th of July tradition! Nothing on this earth like like getting smashed and banging in public. Quote
ScottM Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Not in NoDak anymore, but I will be spending the 4th of July weekend in Louisville. Not sure what I'll be doing, but I'm sure I'll find something. Quote
Redneksioux Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Is the derby in Hatton anywhere as good as the one in Northwood? The Northwood derby is always a blast! Quote
Siouxmama Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Going to the lake (Eastbay, Devils Lake) for the extra long weekend. Go out and do some fishing, finish a stained glass project I have in progress, and watch the kids swim by our dock. Pretty relaxing and enjoyable. We can see the fireworks display across the lake that the Spirit Lake Casino has. Looking forward to the weekend. Quote

Siouxmama Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 My preference is for blowing stuff up real good. Maybe you can practice on the new resident in your garage. Quote
Siouxmama Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 We are off to the lake. Everyone have a great holiday weekend. Quote
