redwing77 Posted January 19, 2006 Share Posted January 19, 2006 Thanks PCM. A lot of good insight. Hak was right on. We need everyone contributing offensively. Last year it seemed like when the 4th line scored, we never lost. If we can roll 4 lines and all 4 are effective, then the series will be a good one for the Sioux. Defensively Jones has really stepped up his game. I kindof feel like Jones' year was a lot like Smaby's freshman campaign without the sitting out a game. Smaby started out shaky but in late January, he started to REALLY play well. In that respect, Jones is ahead of the curve. I'm throwing down the gauntlet to Radke and Porter to step up and make things happen this weekend. I'm also calling for Prpich to stop making stupid penalties. Kermit Posted January 19, 2006 Share Posted January 19, 2006 This is what I noticed about Jones this weekend. I've only got this weekend to compare him to a few games on tv a month or so ago, but to me he really looked like he was playing with authority. He also plays bigger than his size, IMO. I think he's become a very solid defenseman already, and will only get better. We're fortunate to have him. I agree, Dagies. Jones is developing nicely. I'm not laughing at what you said, but the fact that you make it sound like you are a coach and will be giving each player a talk before the games this weekend. Damn straight Im gonna give them a talk! I'll take the NCAA rule book and beat them over the head with it until they step up their play (or fall unconscious) if I have to. And trust me, if to comes to that, what am I going to use to beat some sense into the officiating crew? jk, Don't make me send Eades after you DMT and PCM are just trying to hurt my feelings.
