Runninwiththedogs
I dislike the split power play, but I will take it anyway I can get it.
Siouxdonyms
Well...better than last night, but still need a lot of improvement. Bottom line...have to stay out of the box! Can't give the Goofer PP too many opportunities.
bertibm
Alot better game than last night. Both teams must stay out of the box. Ref's calling a tight game
choyt3
Damn good thing that puck the Gopher player hit after the horn didn't go into the stands.
Runninwiththedogs
Sounds like the ref couldn't sleep last night and decided to read the rule book. So now he's having fun making sure the game is played "by the book." Some people like it when they call it by the book, like my grandpa, who was ejected from a 'Dogs game for throwing a rule book on the ice. redwing77
Let's see. 1. Prpich sits out 2nd period. Yup. You play stupid hockey, you don't play. 2. Finley is on thin ice. So is Zajac. DISCIPLINE DISCIPLINE DISCIPLINE DISCIPLINE!!!!!!!! The Gophers are yapping. If you had dominated like they have this season, wouldn't you? SKATE AWAY! Play stupid hockey: YOU WILL LOSE GUARANTEED. Better period than last night but seriously, these penalties are basically the Sioux players' way of saying "GO GOPHERS!!!"

It's one thing if it's consistent, as the players than adjust their game, so we don't see so much special teams play. This becomes ridiculous as it all comes down to special teams, and only half your team plays the game.

choyt3
I was thinking Prpich needed to get himself a goal in the final minute of the 1st to keep himself in the lineup. Pretty sure he'll be singled out in the locker room.
Sioux-cia
The score is 1-1, I don't mind the penalties, the guys are moving and shooting . The next period they can hold the penalties down.

Sioux-cia
TJ is so cute. He's not engaged, too, is he? Nope but only 18. He may need an older woman in his life. You know, to show him the ropes.
sprig
How is that Weak? 2 handed swing at the Goalie's Glove WHat in hell are you watching, it was a poke at the puck and Zajac arrived the same time as the puck. Woog thought it was an Atherton penalty for the crushing cross check he put on Zajac from behind.

Nothing wrong with older women when you're his age Of course, at my age, we start looking for younger women.
7>4
No TV here tonight. Just CC-WI. What were shots in the first period? Sounds like more even than last night.

redwing77
The score is 1-1, I don't mind the penalties, the guys are moving and shooting . The next period they can hold the penalties down. I mind the penalties. How did they score most of their goals last night? You NEVER give a team with a good powerplay an opportunity to showcase it. That would be like throwing an underhanded pitch right down the center of the plate to Barry Bonds. He's going to swing and most of the time, it's in McCovey Cove. We did tie up the game. We need to come out next period and keep up the pressure and stay the hell out of the box. They can do this by scoring on the PP. They can do this by playing simple hockey. NO MORE LONG PASSES. We can't make them work. We need to go to short passing, keep it simple and fundamental hockey.
sprig
Whoever this between period interview is (Sauer?) is very critical of the calls. Wouldn't get too down on Prpich, as his penalties were really weak, must have been reputation calls. Campion is making weak call after weak call, including whatever that last one was on the Gophers (although no replay was shown). The holding on Prpich didn't happen, not even close. In spite of the crazy calls, the Sioux came to play tonight. Not sure why they gave away 3 games to the Gophers before deciding to compete in one.
