Sioux-cia Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Does anyone know if the Sioux leaders who were to be Kup's guests were there last night? or are they expected tonight? Kudos to the students and other fans for great participartion without some of the usual vulgarity!! Except when the Gopher fans out shouted the Sioux fans and the students didn't join us in section 113 cheering GO SIOUX , I was very proud of them. Quote
DGH Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I'm not sure who the individuals were or who they represented (if anyone), but there was some elder members in the UND suite last evening. I was honored to sit in an area just adjacent to this student section and enjoyed every minute of it. Being a young 40ish hockey fan it keeps me youthful! In reality, I believe RE envisioned this kind of atmosphere and more, but still think the students should be seated behind the opposing goalie and behind the opposing team. My thoughts only and I could be wrong? Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Over the the GPL they are saying that the "F... the Gophers!" chant did break out last night. I think the President of the United States could show up and the students would still chant that Quote

dakotadan Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Does anyone even know for sure that they were even here? And if so who? Quote
LeftyZL Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 There was the the commissioner of the WCHA, the head of the WCHA officials, and 3 tribal members from what I gathered while working the game Friday night. No idea who they were exactly or how high of a tribal member they were, but they were there none the less. They were seated directly behind the student section in a suite. Quote
