Seems a little odd that UND would be right in the running for McKenna as short as a month ago, to not getting any top CHL scorers present-day, especially from the WHL. Quote

UND has more to offer these recruits than 90-95% of college hockey teams. A lot of teams would love to be in UND’s position. We just don’t have big ten money. 1 Quote

Who the players are represented by. 2. Money 3. Grand Forks not being appealing. 1 Quote

RhettRingers Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I feel like we should have as good as of a shot as anyone on the Western Canadian guys. We won't get the Ontario kids ever. Quote

And I’m saying that as nicely as a can Scpa, thank you for the kind words. That was a little bit of a “homer” take but my main point is that UND falls in the top 12 programs in college hockey for what they can offer recruits. College hockey has 64 teams, 90% of that would be 12-13 teams. I don’t see there being 5 teams outside of the Big Ten that would provide more to a recruit than UND 3 Quote
RhettRingers Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Question for all of you here. If you were representing Gavin McKenna, would you want him to go to UND and play in the toughest conference in college hockey for let's say $400k less than what he would be getting at a B1G school, and putting up video game numbers to solidify him being the number one pick in next year's draft. McKenna will get his money regardless through brand deals but your point is correct. If McKenna takes less money, his advisors get less money. 1 Quote
