PCM
So much for Barry Melrose's prediction that Sertich and Sterling would split the vote, enabling Cornell's David McKee to win it.

We have housed the last 4 best players in the country, and had many other nominees, as in 04 having all three finalist, two from the same team. BleedGrn
An all WCHA Frozen Four, WCHA player wins the Hobey, the WCHA has a 44% chance of winning the Spencer Penrose award... Is there anything left that the WCHA hasn't done this year? Who says the West doesn't dominate college hockey right now??? As a side note: To anyone who was at Rumor's last night for the game, what a great crowd it was... The atmosphere was awesome considering it was Rumor's. redwing77
Toews. Lee. Smaby. Parise. What if we change our name to the University of North Boston .... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That certainly wouldnt hurt the ignorant vote, but once they figure out that we're still in "flyover land " we still won't get it. jerseychaser1
At the Denver vs. Colorado game they show Sertich's mom in the stands and interviewed her. She has some kind of cancer and she'll eventually die pretty soon. Thats pretty tough watching your son possibly play his last hockey game ever. Congrats Sertich for Hobey! He deserves it. ethanm
I think it's interesting that only 4 times in the 25 year history of the award has the Hobey Baker winner been on the national champions in the same year.
