bigmrg74 Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Well, I'm looking at the main index and its reading less than a 1000 posts until you hit 100,000. Given that you guys are playing UMN, and that its been pretty busy today, even with down time, chances are somebody is going to get it. Anybody like their odds at getting it?? Quote
jimdahl Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 We've actually had 100673, the discrepency is that the count on the front page doesn't include those that were deleted. The first couple months of the message board, I let posts in the hockey forum expire (doh), so that accounts for most of the deletions. The post numbered 100000 is from ABER on April 1. Quote
dagies Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Geez. I probably HAD 100,000 posts in the first couple of months. Which might also explain why Jim just let those fade away..... Quote
dakotadan Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 99920 as of this post. I give it till this after-noon, say 1:32 pm, at the latest. Quote
dakotadan Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 1,700 registered members on the DOT. Pretty impressive! Quote
dakotadan Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 If I time this out right I might get my 500th and the 100,000th at the exact same time. But that would require me sitting up and drinking for a few more hours. Quote
jimdahl Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Post number 200,000 was on Nov. 18 by AZSIOUX. The discrepancy between post numbers and the post count on the front page is explained above. Quote

It's so perfect that on #100000 the thread police came out... Quote
jimdahl Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 While the gap between the post numbers and the number of posts gets larger as the moderators and I go wild with our machetes, congratulations for post #300,000 goes to Sioux Hab-it for this dispute settling clarification. Quote
GeauxSioux Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Why is there roughly a 1400 difference in the "member number" and the number of members? Quote
jimdahl Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Why is there roughly a 1400 difference in the "member number" and the number of members? People who "register" but never click the link in the "confirmation of address" email are assigned a member number that can't be reused. Quote
jimdahl Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Congratulations SiouxBetcha for thread #10000 (and congrats for selling the tickets in a speedy 50 minutes). Quote
