A couple of Final Five observations

A couple of thoughts on the weekend that I hadn't posted earlier, and I'm tired of regional talk:

1. Zajac. Every time he touched the puck I had an expectation that something great could happen. Wow, is this guy good.

2. The Red Pepper Line = Foyt, Marvin, Fylling. These guys went out and did a pretty good job. My buddy gave them this name because they're "the grinders".

Foyt has a lot of energy when he plays.  A few more games and he might get some offensive skills.  I wonder what kind of playing time he will get next year, and where.

With McMahon graduating, Kaips future in doubt, and a lack of grinders coming in you would have to think he is going to be tasked in the same role next year.

I figured this was as good a thread to comment in as any about the great weekend we had. The final 5 is such a great tournament. Can't really beat watching 5 quality teams play 5 quality games in 3 days. Really proud of the Sioux as well after a very solid showing down there. Must say that I had a hard time getting up for the title game but it was a good one nonetheless. Was pretty bummed to find no dome hockey at McGoverns, but I can see why they didn't have the table out, that place was packed. Ate way to many cheese curds this weekend too. Anyway, good luck to the Sioux this weekend. Go Sioux !!! Go Maine !!! And most importantly, get well Robbie !!!
