Miami ties in OT new NCHC member Arizona State and goes 1-0-1 on the weekend.  We are now 4-1-1.  Not the best start, but hoping for a decent season.  And BTW, Congrats on your football win vs NDSU!  Love it.

College sports are changing.  NIT just announced that the D1 Conference winners no longer get an auto-bid and the Top2 P6 winners get auto-bids and host.  There is some separation coming and new stuff about to happen.  Our AD thinks that there will be no longer any 1-sport conferences and if that happens in the future then NCHC will have to fold into the Summit League or the MAC.  If it fold into the MAC then at least BGSU will have to join and we will all be under the new ESPN contract we are negotiating which may include UMASS and U of Delaware.  Who knows?  Hockey East will fold into ECAC.

I know y'all would probably first prefer The Summit League and Fenton (A Miami guy) would be great, but the MAC as an FBS league with ESPN might work better.

And there are always rumors of Buffalo joining hockey.  So a MAC hockey league in that scenario doesn't sound too bad:

 

UMASS, NODAK, Miami, WMU, BGSU, Buffalo, Arizona St., Denver, CC, Omaha, St. Cloud, Minny-D, etc sounds OK to me.

It's great seeing Miami (and CC) starting off strong. With UMD and SCSU tripping out of the gate, we are all rooting for you guys to leap them in the standings this year.
