NorthDakotaHockey
I saw on the main Maine thread that the Sioux women had jumped out 2-0 against the Lady Goophies. Anyone have a reliable read on the final score, and the size of the crowd?

Or I was listening backwards, a good possibility.

They did very well when the 3 Olympians weren't out there, so we know Coach Rivard is starting to put something together. Too bad they had to start out in the WCHA against the national champions...I hope the fans still come out and don't give up on the team. Women's hockey, nationally and at UND, is still a work in progress. Even though, I'm more happy watching men's games, give the women credit for working hard and blazing a trail. Afterall, didn't the women's Olypmic team bring home a medal, after the men got sent packing some time ago?

whockeyfan
I didn't expect them to put up much of a game against the Gophers, but I was at least hoping that we'd get at least one goal. Better luck next game, ladies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
