Vegas_Sioux
from the herald Charleston Police announced late Friday night that two juvenile males, ages 15 and 16, were arrested in DiLorenzo’s homicide, which occurred in downtown Charleston Friday morning. DiLorenzo, who in June retired as provost of UND after seven years, was with his wife, Suzanne Austin, at approximately 6:15 a.m. when two young men armed with a handgun demanded money from the couple. DiLorenzo, 63, was shot during the robbery attempt and was taken to a local hospital, where he died, according to a police report. Austin, who was recently named provost at the College of Charleston, wasn’t injured. The suspects, whose names have not been released because they are juveniles, have both been charged with murder and attempted armed robbery, police said in a news release. One is also charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Popular Post fightingsioux4life
I had strong differences with Mr. DiLorenzo when he was Provost. But nobody deserves what happened to him. May God bless his widow and his other family members as they grieve during this difficult time.
