siouxcool
I'm gonna get out the tape of the 2000 championship game against Boston College. I just love when Lee Goren scores the open netter. It is great when Karl does his little skate after that goal and raises his arms and stick in celebration. I need to watch that game again and a few more times I do believe. I have the championship game from Coach Blais first one too. I'm gonna watch both games again. Was hoping to add number 8 this year like all Sioux Fans but I'm sure we will add number 8 real soon. Maybe some other Sioux fans can talk about a great Sioux memory they have from all the great Sioux teams and great Sioux years from the past. Sure are a lot of memories to reflect on and to remember... NOTHING IS BETTER THEN SIOUX HOCKEY... GO SIOUX IN 2004-2005... BLESS THE SIOUX AND ALL SIOUX FANS EVERYWHERE... 7>4
Even though they ended up losing the game, I loved the third period of the 2001 NC final. I still remember the shot of the Sioux bench going crazy after they scored to tie it up. And Blais' move to pull the goalie for a 6 on 4 was classic. dagies
A couple of memorable instances for me: 1997 Final Five Championship game. Adrenaline running high for the whole game. It's now OT. A puck laying out front and Peter Armbrust buries it home for a Final Five Championship. Euphoria! 2001 Final Five Championship. Sioux coming back against St. Cloud in the 3rd. After one of our goals watching Panzer come out for the next face-off and you can tell from his body language he's having a blast and can't wait for the puck to drop. Another exiting game. Duluth series in Duluth this year. Going into a building where Duluth swept the hot MN Gophers with the cup going to Duluth if we get swept. We turn the tables in 2 very well played games and cart the McNaughton home. 2 very well played games, very exciting, good crowds. A real blast! Are you refering to 2001? Or was there another Panzer in 1991?

You should have seen the living room I was watching the game in... it was me, my wife, a buddy of mine, his wife, and my 6 month old daughter. The four of us scared the he$$ out of my poor kid, we were screaming and jumping up and down! I twisted an ankle jumping, but I shook off the pain..., until BC scored in OT. The year before, I was working at Big Daddy's in GF, and I remember my boss had us give everyone a free drink when the Sioux clinched it with the empty netter... I wish it were October, no wait, I like summer weather... I wish hockey season just never ended!

MafiaMan
Dagies, That 1997 Final Five game will forever be inked in my memory, too. I was there in person and after watching the Sioux struggle from 1992-1995 and show some promise in 1996, it was awesome to see them win the Final Five. That game was eclipsed a few weeks later when I watched UND overcome a 2-0 deficit to BU and win the national title. Talk about euphoria! "BEST TEAM WON!" sioux7
I was at the 1987 champioship game when the Sioux shoved it up Michigan State's hind end. THere were about 15,000 MSU fans there and about 2,000 SIoux fans there and the Sioux fans were louder. This of course leading to Ron Mason never being able to beat the Sioux. 0-13!!!!!! Too bad.
