PCM Posted March 12, 2004 Share Posted March 12, 2004 Now that the regular season is done, I think it's interesting to look back at the comments Dean Blais made in this USCHO story just prior to the start of the season. "All in all, I think it's a good schedule with a little bit of balance," Blais said. "The way the NCAA playoffs work, it's good to play teams outside your league." With a schedule that enabled the Sioux to end the regular season on top of the WCHA and on top of the PairWise Rankings, I'd say that the Sioux couldn't have asked for anything better. The schedule UND had this had some balance and the SOS of the WCHA made the season a dog fight (nice pun since three teams we play in our league had names after canines).
