Wilbur
Jake Brandt definately deserves to be the WCHA Defensive player of the week and the national player of the week as well. I paid pretty close attention to other games in the WCHA and the only player who has a chance to dethrone Jake of his rightful place is Bernd Bruckler, who only gave up one goal this weekend, but played at Alaska..... The Sicatoka
Let's see here .... holding UAA to one goal at Anchorage or holding one of the nation's top offenses and power plays to two goals (and just one power play goal) on the weekend. The voters will foul that up I'm sure.
UMDDogz
There should be no possible about it. If he isn't defensive player of the week, he got screwed. I agree. Holding the highest scoring WCHA team to one goal a night deserves recognition.
redwing77
The biggest thing to consider is that for both games our defense was unbelievable, which helped Brandt out... at least until the third period Saturday night.
tboneund
Knew ya could do it Jake, and a big thank you to Blais for giving him another shot...starting the last four games seems to be an acceptable apology for comments after the Wisconsin game...and four wins is a great "I told you so" to all tha fans who doubted him. Looking forward to see him play this weekend too!
