Seemed strange to me also.  Doesn't look like the UNI women's soccer program has had much success on the pitch throughout their MVC history.

Since he was a former assistant coach at NDSU, he probably has a relationship in Fargo.

That said, UNI seems to really skimp on non revenue sports.

From what I heard it's UNIs coaching getting the job. Heard the team met with him yesterday. Heard his wife is a UND grad as well so that probably helped.

He would've probably been around but he's burned a lot of bridges he with how hard he is to work with.
