gundy1124 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Watch for Grant Aplin in spring ball at center, possibly at guard, fighting for a starting position. Put him on your radar as a player to watch. I know from multiple sources 1) he has some of the biggest lifts in the weight room 2) his shuttle and vertical are at the top for O-line 3) he was tough as nails on the scout team last year, facing our starters 4) has a good rappot with Studsrud 5) coaches speak well of him as a person. Really, what more could you ask for in a guy? Quote

Really, what more could you ask for in a guy? He was a guy I was surprised we got as a PWO. I think he was a bit overshadowed by his linemate at Chanhassen (name is escaping me - signed with Arkansas). Very bright kid and I could easily see him at center. Quote

Really, what more could you ask for in a guy? I mentioned him after he played in the all-star game last summer. He played both guard positions and handled to two big kids going to the Ag school. He is only about 5' 10" but who gives a rip. The only place that makes a difference is the game program, the media and blogs. This kid can play. Quote

geaux_sioux Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 He is 6' and half an inch. I bet my hands on it. I can vouch that he's taller than 5'10. I've seen many a great "short" OL from teams all over the country. They don't need to be 6'6". Quote
iramurphy Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 He is 6' and half an inch. I bet my hands on it. Don't do that. I'm ok with however tall he is. I think he will be a starter either this year or next. He was the best olineman in last years all star game and handled the 300 lb Ag school recruits almost every play he went up against them. Kid is a gamer. Quote
