IrishSiouxFan Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 What a beautiful facility they're getting for $24 million, it really compliments their campus nicely. Wonder if UND has any concept renderings for a stand alone basketball facility circulating around the athletic dept. and alumni center? Quote

Wonder if UND has any concept renderings for a stand alone basketball facility circulating around the athletic dept. and alumni center? Don't need it. Remember, we have "The Ralph"! Unless we are playing Duke or North Carolina at home (never gonna happen), we won't fill the main arena for basketball. Which is why all of our regular season basketball games should be played in The Betty. Great atmosphere, great sightlines, a good home court advantage for our teams. If our programs ever outgrow it, we can talk about building a stand-alone basketball facility. Right now, I think the IPF is sucking all the air out of the room. Quote

Sounds like they're getting at least $20 million in private funding, also, for a total of at least $44 million. Don't think you get much of a building these days for $24 million, sad to say. Quote
