siouxgrad Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Does anyone know if the games will be on TV? I've got Sat. night tickets but wanted to catch the Friday game. Quote
Diggler Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 No TV. Once again the only way to see it is to buy the webcast. Quote
mksioux Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 SCSU fans: Are the games on TV in the St. Cloud area? Quote
01grad Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 If it isn't on the Fighting Sioux network, it is on Victory sports both nights, I checked. The only place I know of that gets this channel is Joe Sensers in Bloomington. It is a sure bet that they will have both games on Friday and Saturday as long as there aren't any big football games on. Let's pack the place as we do each and every weekend!!! Anybody in? For you Sioux fans home from school for break, we would love to see you there! You can finally check this place out after hearing so much about it on this site. Directions It is off of 494 and France Ave. in Bloomington. Close to the 35W intersect on 494. Quote
squirtcoach Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 I stopped by Senser's in Roseville earlier this week. They have Victory Sports, too. It should be on there as well for those of us from the north end of the cities. Quote
cfm567b27 Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Historically the Sioux/SCSU series is televised if you live in the Cities area and have cable television. Standing room only tickets are still being sold for both nights on ticketmaster.com and I think they are charging around $15 each. Quote
01grad Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Usually the SCSU games are on television, broadcast by their college station through KSTC-45. Now that Victory sports is supposedly here in some places, I am not sure if the game will still be on local cable television. It is more fun to watch the games with a bunch of rowdy Sioux fans at the bar though anyways. Quote
01grad Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Hey Diggler it sounds like the game will be broadcast by the Sioux network according to the release on our home sports website. Sensers will have it Friday for sure, but I noticed that there is an NFL game on Saturday and since Sensers is primarily a football bar, a few television might have that game on as well as the Sioux. We should check into it to make sure. Last time we played St. Cloud they had many fans there, which made it fun! Quote
cfm567b27 Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 Yep agreed...Good atmosphere at Sensers for Sioux Hockey. Better than watching it in your living room! ...they seemed to have the lion's share of the big screens on the game when they played SCSU earlier this season. Should be a fun night Friday - looking forward to it. Quote
champs*7 Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Hey Diggler it sounds like the game will be broadcast by the Sioux network according to the release on our home sports website. Could you explain this more? What release? What website? Quote
01grad Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 On the fightingsioux.com preview for the games this weekend it says that the fighting sioux network will have the games, so I guess they must be on in G.F. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Any other news if this game will be broadcast on FSSN? Quote
TheSiouxFan Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 On the fightingsioux.com preview for the games this weekend it says that the fighting sioux network will have the games, so I guess they must be on in G.F. Do you have a link? because all I saw was it saying all home games will be on the Fighting Sioux Sports Network. Quote
Diggler Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 During the sunday game I could have sworn Hennan said that the games would only be on the webcast. Quote
NorthDakotaHockey Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 To my knowledge, they are only on the webcast. At least in the home. Senser's sounds like a good read. We bought our tickets several months back and will be there in full regalia for the meagher Huskie fans to give us a shout. Huskie fans are an entertaining lot. Too bad that they typically have so little for which to cheer. Engelstad did announce during the Subway that they were not on local TV, but only on the web. I suspect that Fox in the Cities will either carry the Wild or the Gophers-BU series. Say, does anyone know how many players the Gophers lost to the US World Juniors Team? Quote
cfm567b27 Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Well if you live in the cities it sounds like you have two options.....1) Sensers 2) Buying a SRO ticket and heading to the game in full regalia. Personally I don't mind the SCSU fans at all - still the Gopher fans I have issue with. Quote

CoteauRinkRat Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Why doesn't Midco offer Victory Sports yet? I've emailed them and don't get a response. Quote
